Quince Pants Review: Best Pairs for Work, Weekends, Travel & Lounging

in Personal Style, Reviews on 09/20/26

Believe it or not, I own the same Quince pants in five colors.

And they all fit differently 🙈

My black pair is a size 2 with a 26″ inseam, and at 5’4″ that’s my perfect fit. When I reordered in olive, navy, morel grey, and brown, I grabbed size 4 with the 24″ inseam without thinking, and they run a little short and loose on me.

I wear all five anyway. The looser ones are actually coming with me on a 3 month trip to Italy, because a little extra room is nice to have on long trips 😅

But even though sizing can be inconsistent, I absolutely love Quince’s pants. So much so that I’ve owned 14 different pairs (and that’s not counting the ones I have in multiple colors!).

I’ve learned which pairs to order, in which size, and which ones to skip, so you don’t have to guess.

Here’s what you’ll learn today:

✅ Which Quince pants are worth buying, and the 3 I returned or let go

✅ The exact size and inseam I wear in every pair (I’m 5’4″, size XS to S)

✅ Which pair works for work, weekends, travel days, and lazy days at home, because most of these cover more than one

Yes, Quince pants are worth it. I’ve worn 14 different styles over the last 5 years, from the Ultra-Stretch Ponte (I own it in 5 colors) to linen, jeans, and washable silk, and 11 of them are staying in my closet. If you’re buying one pair first, make it the Ponte Cropped Wide Leg.

💼 Quince Work Pants: The Polished Ponte Styles

If you need pants that pass for trousers at the office but feel like leggings, start here.

All three of these are Ponte, a thick double knit fabric that stretches like a legging but hangs like a trouser.

Quince Ponte pants are the ones I’d point any friend to first, and they’re the ones I keep rebuying.

🎯 Also read: 40+ ways I style my Ponte pants to be comfy but put together

1️⃣ Ultra-Stretch Ponte Cropped Wide Leg Pants

These are the ones from the intro, and yes, I own the Ultra-Stretch Ponte Cropped Wide Leg Pants in all five colors. My oldest pair is 3 years old, and after all that wear there’s no fading, no pilling, and no bagging after a few hours.

They’re high waisted, and at 5’4″ the size 2 with the 26″ inseam is my right fit. The 24″ inseam runs short on me, in my opinion, so I’d only grab it if you’re under 5’4″ or you like a higher crop.

I reach for black and brown the most, just because they’re the easiest to style with the rest of my wardrobe. But honestly, I love them all.

💡 Pro tip: they can look corporate on the hanger, but the top, shoes, and accessories completely change the vibe. A blouse and loafers reads office, and a striped tee with sneakers reads Saturday.

Also works for: travel days and dinners out.

Would I buy again? Yes, and I’ll probably reorder the other colors in my black pair’s size once these wear out.

2️⃣ Ultra-Stretch Ponte Wide Leg Pants

Same fabric, full length. I’ve had the Ultra-Stretch Ponte Wide Leg Pants in espresso (size S, regular) for 6 months, and they hold their shape beautifully.

These are made for heels. If you’re petite and want a longer leg line, this is the most elegant pant in the whole lineup, in my opinion.

Fit note: the S is a touch roomy at my waist, but an XS would be too small through my hips. If you’re straighter through the middle, your usual size should be perfect.

Also works for: dressier dinners, and any outfit you’d wear heels with.

Would I buy again? Yes.

3️⃣ Ultra-Stretch Ponte Straight Leg Pants

The Ultra-Stretch Ponte Straight Leg Pants are my newest Ponte, and I have them in espresso, size S, extra short. On me they hit slightly below the ankle, which looks great with both sneakers and boots.

The S fits my hips but runs a little big at my waist (hourglass problems 🙈). It doesn’t bother me because I French tuck my sweaters anyway, and I love that I can add a belt to these.

Also works for: travel days, and weekends with sneakers.

Would I buy again? Yes.

🥾 Quince Weekend Pants: Jeans & Corduroy

Full disclosure: I don’t love jeans. So the fact that three pairs of Quince jeans live in my closet tells you a lot about the stretch.

The corduroy at the end of this section isn’t denim, but it lives in the same drawer and gets worn the same way.

🎯 Also read: How to style jeans for your body and your closet

4️⃣ Bella Stretch Skinny Jeans

I own the Bella Stretch Skinny Jeans in faded black and regular black, both size 26, both high waisted. Two years in, no bagging and no fading surprises.

The stretch is comfortable enough for all day wear. I even wore them on a US to Asia travel day, and I’m someone who doesn’t love jeans, so that says a lot.

Also works for: travel days when I want to look a little more pulled together.

Would I buy again? Yes.

5️⃣ Bella Stretch Patch Pocket Wide Leg Jeans

The Bella Stretch Patch Pocket Wide Leg Jeans in midnight blue have been in my rotation for a year. Super stretchy and comfortable, and they don’t get baggy.

Fit note: my usual 26 runs a little bigger in this style than my other Bella jeans. I could’ve sized down to a 25, but they still look good, so I kept them.

💡 The front patch pockets are the detail that sells them. They add just enough interest that an otherwise plain outfit looks intentional.

Would I buy again? Yes, maybe in a 25.

Also works for: everyday errands, and casual Fridays if your office is fine with denim.

6️⃣ Bella Stretch Studded Relaxed Straight Jeans

The Bella Studded Jeans in faded black are the most fun pair I own. Size 26 fits me perfectly, high waisted like the others.

One thing to know before you order: the studs run down the hem, so these are hard to hem. They’re meant to be worn with heels, and they look great with black boots too.

💡 Even if your style leans minimal, this is a pair worth having. They make me feel like a million bucks, and they’re coming to Italy with me this fall. (I’ll add pictures as soon as I have them 🙋🏻‍♀️)

Also works for: dinners out, and any day that needs a little extra.

Would I buy again? Yes.

7️⃣ Organic Stretch Corduroy Cropped Wide Leg Pants

The Organic Stretch Corduroy Cropped Wide Leg Pants are my newest buy, and I got them in burgundy and olive (size 2, short).

The crop hits at my ankle, the stretch is just right, and I find them really flattering. The front pockets and the colors give them all the fall vibes, which is exactly why they’ll travel with me on fall trips.

💡 Heads up: the colors sell out and come back, so if you see yours in stock, grab it.

Also works for: fall and winter trips (mine are Italy bound).

Would I buy again? Yes, I love them.

👗 Buying Pants Is Easier When You Know Your Closet

We all have that pair we bought and never wore.

That’s the expensive one 🙈

Want to avoid filling your closet with even more pieces that don’t work for you?

Take my 2 question closet quiz and I’ll help you figure out what your closet is actually missing.

Answer them here ⬇️

✈️ Quince Travel Pants: What Comes in My Carry-On

These are the pants that come in my carry-on. My number one travel day pant is actually the Ponte Cropped Wide Leg up in the work section, so consider this the rest of the travel lineup.

One rule before we start: linen is for warm destinations, period. It stays home on cold weather trips, and I never wear it on the actual travel day.

8️⃣ 100% European Linen Tapered Ankle Pants

I own the 100% European Linen Tapered Ankle Pants in five colors: olive, navy, beige, black, and brown. My oldest pair is 4 years old and still in great shape.

If you’re shopping Quince linen pants for a warmer-weather trip, this is the style I’d start with.

Sizing tip: I originally ordered a size S, but linen relaxes as you wear it, so they were baggy within a few hours. I switched to XS and recommend sizing down.

They sit at my waist and hit right at the ankle on me. If you’re taller than 5’4″, they might run short on you.

💡 One heads up on a different style: I tried their straight leg linen pants in white, and they felt smaller. The same thing happened to my mom, so if you go for that style or a white pair, don’t size down.

Also works for: hot weather weekends at home.

Would I buy again? Yes. These are some of my favorite pants for hot weather trips.

9️⃣ SuperSoft Fleece Cropped Wide Leg Pants

My SuperSoft Fleece Cropped Wide Leg Pants in black (size S) have been with me for about 2 years, and the quality has held up great. I can wear the waistband high or lower, and both work.

The crop is the thing to know. On my 5’4″ frame they hit right, so they’re a great pick for petites who want a cropped hem, but I wouldn’t recommend them if you’re much taller than me.

Also works for: lounging at home.

Would I buy again? Yes.

🛋️ Quince Lounge Pants: Leggings & Silk

This is the comfy corner of the post. Both of these leave the house more than they should 😅

🔟 Ultra-Soft High-Rise Leggings

I work out every day, so I basically live in leggings, and the Ultra-Soft High-Rise Leggings are my favorites. I wear size S with the 25″ inseam, and the sizing has been consistent across every color I’ve tried (and I’ve tried most of them).

My system: I buy 3 or 4 pairs, wear them daily for a year, then replace them. I’ve been doing that every year, which is the most honest review I can give.

💡 Quince also makes a pocket version, which I keep for quick errands. And with a long cardigan, leggings work on travel days too. Here’s how I wear my long cardigans.

Also works for: the gym, quick errands, and travel days with a long cardigan.

Would I buy again? Yes, I literally do every year.

Ways of Style wearing brown Quince Ultra-Soft high-rise leggings with a grey long cardigan and her carry-on on a travel day

1️⃣1️⃣ 100% Washable Silk Pajama Pants

Also works for: weekend errands, casual dinners, and long trips.

Funny story: I bought the 100% Washable Silk Pajama Pants in black as pajamas, and I didn’t like sleeping in them at all. So I started wearing them out of the house instead, and now I get compliments every single time.

If you’ve been curious about Quince silk pants, this is the pair I can vouch for. Size S fits me perfectly, high waisted, and after a year (including nonstop wear on a 3 month trip) they’re still in great shape.

💡 Pro tip: the shoes make or break them. I wear mine with my platform leather sandals, and I don’t think they’d look as good with flats.

Would I buy again? Yes, though I’m not sure the lighter colors would work as “outside” pants the way black does.

🚫 The 3 Pairs That Didn’t Work Out for Me (and Why)

Not everything I’ve ordered has been a win. These are the three pairs that didn’t work out for me, why, and who I think they could still work for.

a style call, not a quality one.

1️⃣2️⃣ 100% European Linen Wide Leg Pants (I let these go)

I had the 100% European Linen Wide Leg Pants in black and striped, wore them for a while, but I eventually put them in the donation bin.

The elastic waistband felt too wide and bulky on me.

This style also runs bigger and slightly longer than the tapered version. On my shape (hourglass, with hips and a butt), all that extra fabric added volume where I didn’t want it.

Could work for: inverted triangle shapes, where the volume at the bottom balances the shoulders. I’d skip them if you’re an apple or pear shape.

Would I buy again? No, the tapered pair does it better for my body shape.

Ways of Style wearing striped Quince linen wide leg pants with a white tank and tan sandals by a rooftop pool

1️⃣3️⃣ 100% Organic Cotton Poplin Pull-on Pants

I bought the 100% Organic Cotton Poplin Pull-on Pants in garden green because I fell in love with the color. The quality is good and the colors are genuinely cute.

But I have to be honest: the fabric barely stretches, so they’re not that comfortable for me. I like my pants comfy for travel and at home, and these don’t get there.

💡 If you order them, size up. The lack of stretch means your usual size will feel snug.

Could work for: lounging at home, if stretch isn’t a dealbreaker for you.

Would I buy again? No, but the colors almost changed my mind.

1️⃣4️⃣ Ponte Tapered Cargo Pants (I returned these)

Honesty time: I ordered the Ponte Tapered Cargo Pants in black, size XS, and sent them back. The waist was fine, but they were tight around my butt and just not flattering on me.

The quality seemed great, and the length was fine too. They were simply too casual for my style.

Could work for: you, if your style leans sporty or streetwear.

Would I buy again? No, but that’s

And if a pair doesn’t work for your body, send it back without guilt. Three of mine didn’t make the cut, and my closet is better for it.

Quince Pants FAQ

Are Quince pants good quality?

Yes, in my experience the quality is excellent for the price. My 3 year old Ponte pairs haven’t faded, pilled, or bagged out, and my 4 year old linen is still going strong. Even the three styles I didn’t keep came down to fit and comfort, not construction.

Do Quince pants run big or small?

It depends on the style. The linen wide leg and the Bella Patch Pocket jeans run a bit big, the poplin runs snug because it barely stretches, and the Ponte and leggings run true for me. My rule: size down in the tapered linen, size up in the poplin, and stay true to size everywhere else.

Are Quince jeans really that good?

I’m not a jeans person, and I own three pairs of Bella jeans, so yes. The stretch makes them comfortable for all day wear, they don’t bag out, and after 2 years my skinnies still look new. I even wore them on a US to Asia travel day.

What does Ponte mean on pants?

Ponte is a thick double knit fabric with structure and stretch at the same time. That’s why Quince Ponte pants can pass for tailored trousers while feeling closer to leggings. It also resists wrinkles, which is why the Ponte styles are my top travel day picks.

Are these pants petite friendly?

Very, and I say that at 5’4″. Most styles come in multiple inseams (my Ponte cropped fits right at 26″), the joggers’ crop is made for shorter frames, and the full length Ponte wide leg with heels gives petites a longer leg line. The tapered linen hits my ankle exactly, though taller women might find it short.

Do Quince linen pants run small?

The tapered ankle style runs true, but linen relaxes as you wear it, so I size down to keep them from getting baggy by afternoon. The wide leg style runs bigger and longer. The one exception: the straight leg style felt small on both me and my mom, so don’t size down in that one.

What are the best Quince travel pants?

For the travel day itself: the Ponte cropped wide leg, the SuperSoft joggers, or the Bella skinnies if I want to look more put together off the plane. The linen tapered pants come along for hot destinations, but they never fly with me. Leggings with a long cardigan work too, and I tend to run cold, so the cardigan is not optional for me 😅

Turkey has been incredible. We are blown away by h Turkey has been incredible. We are blown away by how beautiful it is, all the different landscapes, the food, and above everything, the people ❤️

Looking back to a few weeks ago when I was really afraid of going on this trip, thinking about all the things that could go wrong, being a little upset with myself in a way for not wanting the traditional life path I always thought was my only choice; get married, buy a house, have kids, save money and travel when you retire. That’s not for me.

I’m very happy I followed my heart 💕 I wrote a letter to myself on the blog: “What’s the best that can happen if the worst happens?” You can check it out by clicking the link in my bio. This was the most amazing experience. I was SO nervous and anxious before but somehow I managed to push through and tried this very scary thing for the first time. And you know what I learned? That I loved it! I would do it again a million times! It wasn’t scary at all. It was all in my head and it wasn’t real. Also, they had the sweetest dog at the shop named Lucy that really help me not to think about it (swipe to see her 😍)

We didn’t do any crazy tricks like G did and it was a very peaceful flight. It’s up to you how you want to do it.
