If I’m being completely honest, white blazers were not on top of my list until very recently. I don’t work in an office, so I’ve never really prioritized having such a corporate looking piece.
However, a few weeks ago while I was doing some shopping, I came across a really cute one (browse similar options here) and I immediately started thinking about all the white blazer outfits I could start creating with things I already had in my closet, which led me to take photos and share them on the internet of course.
I just created a Summer capsule wardrobe and I’m starting to work on one capsule wardrobe per season. While I was thinking about what to include for a Spring Capsule wardrobe, I wanted to add a layering piece that I could dress up or down and that would also transition well into the Summer months.
While I did consider other colors, I decided to go with the classic white blazer. A piece I haven’t had in my closet for many many years, but today I’m going to show you exactly what to do with it, even if you don’t work in an office environment.

Why should you consider having a white blazer?
White blazers are the neutral, chic piece you didn’t know you needed. Trust me, it just happened to me.
I’m going to add it as a key piece of my Spring Capsule Wardrobe (I’m currently working on that blog post) because it’s so versatile. You can wear it for the office, to go out, to run errands, for date night… basically anytime you want to look extra polished and stylish.
A white blazer will elevate any outfit and trust me, you are going to get all the compliments and most importantly, you are going to go out there feeling good about yourself. A good outfit can do that for you!
How Many White Blazers Do You Need?
The answer to this question, 90% of the time, for any piece in your closet, will be JUST ONE LOL.
Only in the very rare case of a basic piece like a T-shirt or a button down shirt, I will advise you to have only one of each. I know it sounds extreme, but it is my main goal with this blog to show you that it is absolutely possible!
I live out of a carry-on bag for God’s sake (I do have an extra box of clothing at my in-laws in Florida, but still!) Downsizing is one of the best decisions you can ever make for yourself.
Want to clean out your closet but don’t know where to start?
I can help you with that! Just answer the 7 questions below and I’ll tell you exactly what to do next.
This fun quiz takes less than a minute, but after knowing the results it can do so much for you. Get started and we’ll figure out what’s next together 👇🏼
Important Things To Know About Styling White Blazers
- If you don’t know where to start, dress head to toe in the same color and add the white blazer. Any color works! It looks especially good with an all black look or all white.
- Stripes and white blazers are a match made in heaven.
- Don’t forget you can add it over a dress or a jumpsuit.
- White blazer outfits with shorts? YES, please! Don’t forget about your shorts!

Care Instructions For White Blazers
The only downside about having a white blazer in your closet is that you will most likely have to take it to the dry cleaners.
I know this is annoying, but hey, it couldn’t all be that good right!? For that reason, you will end up wearing it once or twice a month, so these 10 white blazer outfits I’m sharing with you today should be good for one year.
For Which Seasons Can You Wear White Blazer Outfits?
I just got a white blazer for the first time in years, so I’m still not sure about this one 100%. I think that you can totally wear it all year round.
I don’t personally follow any rules when it comes to wearing white, so I’m going to say that you can create some cute Fall looks and even wear it a couple of times in the Winter (with your coat over it of course), but we’ll see.
For now, I’ve only created white blazer outfits for Spring and Summer, and I plan to take it to Italy this Fall. I think it’s a great piece to bring to Europe.
Chic White Blazer Outfits – 10 White Blazer Looks!
Ok, I think I’ve answered all the questions you could possibly have, but if you have more just leave them in the comments below. I’m always here to help. Next, I’m briefly explaining how you are going to make your own version of any of the white blazer outfits I’m sharing today.
The exact white blazer I’m wearing is not available any more. I got it an Ann Taylor, but unfortunately is OOS. However, Nordstrom has some really solid options for every budget!
How To Recreate Any Of These White Blazer Looks?
You’ll notice that for each outfit, I share an outfit formula and that it is kind of vague. Let me explain why.
This is on purpose because these outfits should serve as a guide, it doesn’t mean that you have to wear exactly what I’m wearing. So, if I say flat shoes it means that you can use any flat shoes you have as long as the color works. Same thing applies to any of the other pieces.
That being said, here’s a step by step on how to recreate any of the white blazer outfits:
- Pick an outfit formula to follow
- The hero piece in this case is the white blazer, so take it out of your closet (If you don’t have a white blazer, maybe you can consider using a white denim jacket for some of the looks).
- Take out 3-4 options for each item of the outfit formula (this is great exercise to see how many pieces you have of each and if you have too many, consider getting rid of some).
- Start mix and matching and see how many white blazer outfits you can create.
- Try things on or take photos of each look so you have them handy for later.
Look #1 – White Blazer With Flats (all black look)
This is the perfect example of dressing head to toe in the same color and then adding the white blazer as a final touch. Trust me, it never fails. You can try this with black too, or white, a bold color, dark green or navy. To make it look extra Summery and to keep it casual (which was my intention) I decided to wear espadrilles (they are so comfy and run TTS).
Follow the outfit formula below to create your own version of this look!
The outfit formula: Flat shoes + Black Skinny Jeans + Black T-shirt + White Blazer

Look #2 – Casual White Blazer Outfit With Stripes
This is the first look that came to mind when I decided to buy my white blazer. It’s a no brainer right?
A nautical look with a white blazer will always be chic and classic. You can create your own version with what you have too. That’s what I did basically. I went through my closet to look for anything that was navy and ended up with jeans, but you can also use white pants/jeans.
The outfit formula: Navy or white pants/jeans + Navy shoes + Striped T-shirt + White blazer

Look #3 – Styling A White Blazer With Neutral Colors
Don’t forget you can create more casual white blazer outfits with neutrals. This is one of my favorite color combos because it’s so timeless.
This look is so comfortable and perfect for a Spring or Summer outing. Use any beige pant you may have and don’t be afraid to throw brown sandals in there. It doesn’t have to be the same shade. All neutrals look good together!
The outfit formula: Beige pants + Flat sandals + White T-shirt + White blazer

Look #4 – White Blazer Look With A Pop Of Color!
I chose a subtle pop of color here. If you don’t have colored jeans or pants, then keep it neutral in the bottom and add the pop of color with your top or even with your accessories.
You can wear this look for the office, but in my case it would be a meeting with a brand or an event (If you need office looks inspiration, then check out 80+ office looks here).
The outfit formula: Colored pants/jeans + White top + White blazer + Espadrilles

Look #5: Casual White Blazer Outfit With A Denim Shirt
I always have to style my denim shirt because I love it so much.
If you’ve been following for a while, you’ve seen this chambray shirt A LOT around here. It’s part of my Summer Capsule wardrobe and I will also include it for my Spring Capsule (I’m currently working on this post).
Keep in mind you can just tuck it in, but I like to tie my shirts like I did here because it makes it more fun. But if you want to wear this look for the office, then tuck it in and add a belt and wear dressier shoes. (You can also check out this post where I share 8 things you can do with a button down shirt – all the styling tips apply to denim shirts we well).
I also have a blog post called ‘How to Wear A Denim Shirt’ where I share even more chic and timeless looks with this closet staple!
The outfit formula: Denim shirt (ideally light) + White blazer + Black Skinny Jeans + Sneakers

Look #6 – Casual White Blazer Outfit With Shorts
One of my favorite looks ever! So comfy, perfect for Summer and chic. Any top would work for this look, but I wanted to add some color. If you want to stick with neutrals, that will work too, but don’t be afraid to play with the accessories.
Adding a pop of color will give your look a special touch.
The outfit formula: Cami + shorts + White blazer + Espadrilles

Look #7 – White Blazer With Printed Pants
I recently started to wear more wide leg pants and I’ve been loving them! They are so comfy!! I still love my skinny jeans, but it’s been nice to do something different for a change.
Wide leg pants are so comfortable. This look is also great for the office or for brunch with the girls.
The outfit formula: Printed pants + Espadrilles + Plain cami + White blazer

Look #8 – Casual White Blazer Outfit With Jeans
A super simple and easy white blazer outfit. You can never go wrong if you follow this outfit formula. This casual look of a white blazer with jeans can be casual like this one, but you can also try wearing a different top and heels and it’s a perfect look to go out! It’s very easy to put together because I’m only using basic pieces.
The outfit formula: Jeans + Flats + Black T-shirt

Look #9 – White Blazer With A Dress
Of course I had to style the white blazer with a dress! My closet is mostly neutrals, so I picked an LBD, but you can pick any dress you’d like, even a white one. This is a great way to dress for the office and then go out for happy hour. Just take the blazer off and you’ll be good to go!
The outfit formula: White blazer + A plain dress (LBD works!) + Sandals + Accessories

Look #10 – White Blazer With White Sneakers
You guys know how much I love my white sneakers, and turns out they go great with white blazers. It’s the perfect way to create a casual but chic balance. I would wear this look for pretty much anything, from running errands around the city, to grab lunch with a friend or for a weekend brunch. So comfortable and chic.
Please keep in mind that the best white sneakers in the world are usually sold out… lately I’ve seen that they’re available for pre-order but it will take them a month or so to ship them to you. So, here are the second best white sneakers lol
The outfit formula: Black skinny jeans + White sneakers + White T-shirt (or striped) + White blazer

My favorite sneaker brand is this one. It’s a Brazilian sustainable brand and it’s definitely worth checking out. These are the sneakers I’m currently traveling with. That’s how comfy they are!

I love creating new looks, and looking cute while I’m traveling. And in this blog, I try to share all my looks, even if I don’t have the best photos ;) My goal is to help you maximize every piece you have in your closet and to encourage you to live with less things.
