Eating healthy can be challenging. It’s not easy to break out of unhealthy eating habits and it’s definitely not easy to learn about which foods are actually good for you and won’t sabotage your diet. What are superfoods?
Superfoods is sort of a new term used to identify foods that have a very high density of nutrients. Meaning they have a lot of vitamins, nutrients or antioxidants in very small quantities.
I’m a huge fan of superfoods and I started learning about them and incorporating them into my daily diet 3 years ago. Some can be expensive though, especially considering that the more variety of superfoods you consume, the better it is for your diet. So you would need to buy a lot of them, which trust me, can elevate your grocery budget by a lot! That’s why it might be easier to get them through a subscription service like Revive.
Some superfood examples: chia seeds, açaí, matcha, dragon fruit, jackfruit, seaweed, maca, goji berries, hemp seeds, bee pollen, cacao and many others.
More common superfoods: dark leafy greens, nuts and nut butters, cauliflower, avocados, garlic, coconut, berries and eggs.
Revive Superfoods Review -How does it work?
Revive superfoods is a weekly or monthly subscription service where you can order delicious preservative-free smoothies, oats for breakfast, super meals (great for lunch or dinner) and soups crafted by chefs. All of their meals require very little preparation, which translates into basically forgetting about cooking and way less trips to the grocery store.
They are 100% plant based which is great for you and the environment. However, you can add animal protein to any of their super meals, which we do sometimes as you will see below.
You can customize your orders and have the option to order every week or every month. You can choose between 9, 12 or 24 cups and you can cancel or change the frequency at any point before your billing date.
How much does Revive Superfoods cost?
Their cups are only $5.99 which I’m pretty cure are the cheapest option out there.
This applies to their oats, smoothies and super meals. They also offer free shipping always.
If you try it using the code rsf50waysofstyle at checkout, you will receive 50% off your entire order (click here to redeem).
Review Superfoods Review – Pros
- Revive really helps you to eat more fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. It’s a great way to introduce new healthy foods into your diet. Variety is key when you eat healthy. This way you won’t get bored and you add a wide variety of nutrients to your daily diet.
- Their products are SO EASY to prepare!!! Like mindblowingly (I’m sure this is not a word LOL) easy. This makes it perfect for anyone who has a busy schedule or simply doesn’t want to have to think about cooking or planning meals.
- It will save you money on groceries. Especially because you will be introducing a new variety of fruits and vegetables. So you can eat different things all the time without breaking the bank.
- Revive Superfoods lists all of their ingredients on their website, so you can easily identify allergens.
- As with any subscription service, waste is definitely a concern and I debated whether or not to include this as a pro or a con. I’ve tried many food subscription services, and honestly Revive goes above and beyond to keep it simple. Their containers are recyclable and since you are shopping for less things in the grocery store you are reducing the amount of waste on that end. Not to mention that you will definitely generate less food waste because the quantities are already measured for you. Not throwing away food is always a huge plus to me!
- It is great for portion control! If you are trying to eat less and better, but don’t have time to count macros, calories, etc. They already do that work for you.
- You can cancel anytime and customize each delivery to your liking.
Revive Superfoods Review – Cons
- The smoothies are low in calories, so I do not consider them a full meal. To me, they are more of a nutrient dense snack or a complement to my breakfast. I have my smoothies with a side of egg whites & avocados for breakfast. However, keep in mind that they are very handy to bring with you on crazy busy mornings. You should never leave your house without breakfast.
- I found that their super meals are better for lunch than for dinner. I don’t know if it’s because me and G eat a lot (ha!), but one supermeal just wasn’t enough for dinner, unless paired with animal protein like chicken or beef. (we don’t eat seafood anymore after watching Seaspiracy). You’ll see below that we did exactly that and it was delicious!
- If you have diabetes, their service might not work out for you because of the amount of fruits in their smoothies and oats.
Is Revive Superfoods worth it?
This is always a tricky question because what might be worth it for me, might not work for you. Let me explain.
With my current situation living out of a suitcase and living in Airbnb’s full time, this Frozen smoothie delivery service works great for me. Yes, I change addresses every month and I have to be on top of my things, but not generating food waste is very important to me. It’s hard to calculate exactly how much food we need to eat by our check out date, and sometimes we end up throwing away so much food. This way we make sure that doesn’t happen anymore.
I also really like not having to think about every meal. I cook 90% of the food we eat, so it can be a lot to think about 3 meals for 2 people every single day, not to mention the time it takes out of my busy schedule.
Besides convenience, it’s also nice to save money. $5.99 per cup is a great deal and if you use my discount, (rsf50waysofstyle) they can be half the price for your first order, so it’s definitely worth the try. I love this smoothie subscription and now that they added supermeals it’s the perfect fit for us!!
Revive Superfoods Coupon (50% discount!)
They were generous enough to provide a 50% discount of your first Revive Superfoods order for you to use.
You can check it out by visiting this link and using rsf50waysofstyle at checkout.
If by any chance it doesn’t work, please email me at [email protected] and I’ll contact someone from the company directly and take care of it. Don’t pay full price on your first order! You can also message me on Instagram or in the comments below. Whatever is easier for you.
What did I personally try?
I tried 4 of their smoothies and 5 of their super meals including their falafel pops. Below I’m sharing a detailed review on each and a score (of course just based on my personal taste).
Revive Superfoods Smoothies
Instead of deciding 100% for myself, I read a million Revive smoothie reviews before placing my order, so I already had really high expectations about them. I’m happy to report that they were met! You can use the same cup they come in for serving, which I think is so convenient.
Here are the Revive smoothies I tried:
Revive Smoothies Review – Açai Twist: (rating 5/5)

Revive Superfoods Ready to Eat Supermeals
The Revive supermeals are so convenient and easy to make. As I mentioned in the cons, they are not enough for one full meal, so in our case we had to pair it with chicken every time. We really liked them because they taste delicious and you literally make them in a pan in under 3 mins! That’s it!!
Revive Supermeals – Bean to Baja: (Rating 5/5)
This was the first supermeal we tried, along with the falafel pops and the Golden Sultana. G had this one, I had the other one and we shared the falafel pops. I did try everything and I thought it was delicious! This was G’s favorite.

These falafel pops are so insanely good! I can never picture not including these in any of my future orders!! You simply put them in the over for 14 minutes and they come out crunchy and juicy on the inside. They came up with the brilliant idea of infusing them with tahini sauce, so you don’t even have to dip them. Brilliant!
Next time I will pair these with some rice and veggies and make myself a mediterranean bowl.
What’s in the falafel pops:
- Chickpeas

What else do they offer?
Revive Superfoods also has oats which are great for breakfast. I didn’t try them because I’m not at oat person.
They also have other smoothie options as well as super meals, that I hope to try in the future. 3 different soups are also on their menu, but I didn’t try them because it’s Summer, but for sure will give them a try when it gets cold outside.
Feel free to browse their website here. Since they share very detailed ingredients lists for each of their products, you can easily see if you would like it or not based on your personal taste.
Final thoughts on Revive Superfoods
I hope you enjoyed this detailed Revive superfoods review. I tried 9 of their smoothies and super meals and I think it’s a very convenient delivery service. We eat super healthy around here, but it’s a challenge. It’s hard sometimes because cooking all of your meals every single day takes a lot of time.
Right now we are both so busy. G’s working his notice and I’m packed doing SEO to this blog and creating a new one. I appreciated having dinner ready fast, not going to the grocery store that often, but still trying different meals and flavors which is always what we try to do.
As for the smoothies, they are so handy to have around! There were so many mornings I was in a rush and instead of leaving home without nothing in my belly (which is a huge no-no), I just had to blend one of the Revive smoothies and I was good to go. Other days I was at home and had time to make breakfast, but I still had them as a delicious snack during the day. Another day I was hungover and it was extremely refreshing to drink a smoothie first thing in the morning.
What I like the most about this service besides the flavors, is convenience. I don’t have to think about food that much. I just have to make sure my fridge is fully stocked with some Revive goodies and I can make anything I want in less than 10 minutes. To me, that’s priceless. Especially when you add that you are eating something healthy and nutritious.
Let me know if you have questions in the comments or my Instagram. I’m always here to help!
