I can’t believe how much things have changed in the past week… Everything is so uncertain right now and all of this made me realize how little we can control. However, our attitude is the one thing we are responsible for… (and staying inside when possible).
I’ve been struggling, but I’m doing my best to find little highlights every day. What kills me, is not knowing what will happen or how long this is going to last. Are my loved ones going to be safe? This is the time when I’m choosing Faith over fear. I don’t think I have any other option.
I don’t mean to sound insensitive by posting outfit photos. I shared on my Instagram that the main reason why I decided to share something was because I noticed a difference when I went out to get groceries feeling pretty and positive and optimistic VS when I went outside with a judgmental hat and basically with a dark cloud over my head. What made all the difference believe or not was my outfit and the fact that I did my hair and makeup. It may sound shallow to you, but given everything that’s going on, I needed to do something about the outside in order to feel different in the inside and project a positive light into the world. It is my hope that this post makes you feel the same way.
Another reason I’m posting is because they just keep me busy and distracted. My job has been deeply affected, so I really don’t have any campaigns to shoot, so right now taking out outfits and taking photos is really keeping me sane. Hope you understand and not feel offended. This might be the last one I post until things calm down though… Feel free to respectfully share your thoughts in the comments below 🙂
Ok so, here’s the deal. I got these Spanx leggings last Fall and they were $100. I have never spent that amount of money on a pair of leggings, but so far they have been 100% worth it (I wrote a complete review with more info here). However, after wearing them all Fall and Winter, I decided to challenge myself and style them for Spring too, because why not? I do like to maximize everything I have in my closet! I really do.
Spanx leggings (or any leggings you have) are great for Spring! You just have to style them the right way and I want to help you with that. Hopefully we’ll be able to go outside soon. And if we can’t, then just wear any of these looks to go to the grocery store, work from home and even for an indoor date night like I did this past weekend!

I’ve been writing a lot about these ‘outfit formulas’ on previous blog posts, so I’m just going to share it again here again, in case you haven’t seen the other posts. You can recreate these looks or similar ones with things you already have in your closet! If you are home a lot these days and have extra time, try to do this. This way you’ll have a lot of outfits ready to rock as soon as is safe to go outside.
Here’s how:
- Pick one of the outfit formulas below to follow.
- Take out similar pieces out of your closet and separate them in piles (all the jackets options together, all the t-shirt options together, all the shoes options together, etc).
- In this case the ‘Hero piece’ are the Spanx leggings, so try to pick a pair of black leggings and create your own looks around them.
- Start mixing! Follow the formula. That’s really it!
- Take some photos for future reference. That way you won’t have to think about it too much in the future.
Look 1:
The formula:
Spanx Leggings + Little black dress + Sandals + Accessories

Look 2:
The formula:
Spanx Leggings + Button Down Shirt + Moto Jacket + Sneakers

Look 3:
The formula:
Spanx Leggings + White T-shirt + Aviator Jacket + Booties

Look 4:
The formula:
Spanx Leggings + Hoodie + Puffer Vest + Hunter Boots

Look 5:
The formula:
Spanx Leggings + White T-shirt + Denim Jacket + Cozy Scarf + Sneakers

Look 6:
The formula:
Spanx Leggings + Striped Top + Moto Jacket + Slip-ons

Look 7:
The formula:
Spanx Leggings + Chambray Shirt + White T-shirt + Sneakers

Look 8:
The formula:
Spanx Leggings + Lightweight trench + White Cami + Sandals + Accessories

Look 9:
The formula:
Spanx Leggings + Puffer jacket + White T-Shirt + Scarf + Booties

Look 10:
The formula:
Spanx Leggings + White T-Shirt + Camo Shirt + White Sneakers

Hope these looks inspire you to create some new outfits with things you already have in your closet. Hopefully with things you never wear! I wish I had more colorful pieces, but all I wear are neutrals so… Anyways, you guys can add your own touch and style to any of these looks!
And if you have these Spanx Leggings, get the most out of them every season 🙂 Although I don’t think I’ll wear them during Summer that much, still being able to wear them 3 out of the 4 seasons, justifies the expense to me! They are 100% worth it in my opinion.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Please stay safe & indoors as much as possible so we can protect others.
XO,
Aimara
Wow! That was an interesting post. You are looking so pretty in these pictures. You truly have a good taste of style selection. I love all the outfits that you shared.
Thanks for sharing such a lovely post!
Just wanted to say thank you and I hope you keep posting! I don’t think it’s insensitive- I think it’s a way of keeping your head up. In Survivors’ Club, a Holocaust memoir, the author writes about his mother dressing in bright colors, wearing lipstick, etc. while their town was occupied by the Nazis. I think how you dress can be a symbol of encouragement and hope. Have a great day & God bless you!
love it! so useful!
