🎯 Start here: building a travel outfit planner for spring in Europe!

Before we dive into the exact pieces, let’s set a few ground rules. These guiding principles will make your travel outfit planner for spring in Europe work smarter, not harder:

✅ Stick to a tight color palette: Pick 3-4 neutrals (black, beige, navy, etc) plus 1-2 accent colors. Mixing and matching becomes effortless this way.

✅ Think in layers, not bulk. Spring weather shifts fast! Think chilly mornings, warm afternoons, and the occasional rain. Lighter layers (like a trench coat + cashmere sweater + basic tee) will serve you better than one heavy coat.

✅ Shoes can make or break your trip: Three pairs is the realistic sweet spot! One pair of comfy walking shoes (like leather sneakers), one polished pair for dinners (like these leather sandals), and one every day casual option (like these). Just make sure you test all your shoes before your trip.

✅ Aim for polished, not athleisure: Europeans like to dress-up. Think tailored basics, stylish accessories and sleek shoes help you blend in without the “tourist” vibe.

The 21 pieces that will make your travel outfit planner for spring in Europe possible:

Aim for 20-22 pieces total – this list is NOT final but it’s a great place to start. See how it all fits in your carry-on and decide if you want to leave room for shopping, souvenirs or if you rather pack a couple extra pieces.

You’re about to see what’s possible with just 21 basics. This exact packing list is good enough for 2.5 weeks without doing laundry. If you do laundry once, you’re good to go for 21+ days!

How to create 24 outfits with those 21 pieces:

For work reasons, I’m not heading to Europe this spring (we’ll be there in the fall), so you’ll notice these photos were taken at home, not in Europe like I usually do.

But that’s totally fine! I’ve traveled through Europe in the spring so many times that I know these outfits work. If I were hopping on a plane to Paris, Rome, or Amsterdam tomorrow, this is exactly what I’d pack.

This travel outfit planner for spring in Europe was made with you in mind ✨ It’s ideal if you’re a first time carry-on traveler.

Comfy & Stylish Travel Day Looks (4):

Comfort and layering are everything here. You’ll have at least 2 long travel days and when in Europe, you’ll likely catch a train or two, walk to your hotel, grab a coffee, and maybe even squeeze in a little exploring on the same day.

That’s why these travel day outfits are all about comfort and looking put together from morning to night. This is where a travel outfit planner for spring in Europe really comes in handy.

⭐️ What to wear when you’re flying and hopping on trains

  • Comfy bottoms (or an easy dress): Spring travel calls for pieces you can sit in for hours without feeling restricted. Think relaxed pull-on pants, wide-leg trousers, or a comfy silk dress. They feel soft and forgiving, but still look intentional.
  • Layers you can adjust throughout the day: Chilly airports, warmer afternoons, drafty trains—layers are non-negotiable for travel days. I usually wear my trench coat on travel days since it’s the bulkiest piece, but a cozy cardigan works just as well depending on the weather. And don’t forget a pashmina if you tend to get cold.
  • Shoes you can actually walk in: A timeless leather sneaker is my go-to for long travel days and walking-heavy cities. These leather sandals are also great for travel days. They’re surprisingly warm, but I always pack extra socks just in case.

✅ Why these travel day outfits make sense for Europe in spring:

  • These outfits are comfortable enough for flights and trains, but polished enough for your first afternoon out.
  • Every piece you see here shows up again later in the trip—nothing is packed just for travel days.
  • By planning these looks ahead of time, you avoid overpacking and eliminate the “what should I wear on the plane?” stress.

This is exactly how I build travel day outfits when creating my travel outfit planner for spring in Europe: practical, comfortable, and ready for whatever the day throws at you.

Comfy Day Time Outfits (14)

🗣️Real talk: you’re not going to change outfits twice a day every day during on your trip (you’ll see).

That’s why the smart focus here is on daytime outfits that can easily transition to casual dinners. Think sightseeing, café stops, and then sliding right into a local bistro without missing a beat.

⭐️ The stars of the show for comfy, everyday outfits are:

  • Easy tops (tees, lightweight sweaters, button down shirts) you can layer or wear alone
  • Bottoms that work for walking (stylish joggers, wide leg pants, skirts, comfy dresses or jumpsuits depending on weather)
  • A trench coat or cozy cardigan you can throw on if it gets chilly
  • Chic leather sneakers or comfy walking sandals like these to walk miles while still looking chic
  • Accessories like gold jewelry or a leather crossbody bag to pull everything together

Here are 14 outfits with some of the most basic pieces, but styled to feel elevated. Notice I’m not always styling them with an outer layer because I want you to be able to see the tops, but each look always works with at least one layering piece (the trench coat and the striped cardigan):

🙋🏻‍♀️ I can pack for you… for FREE! 🧳

Still feeling unsure about what to bring? Let me take the guesswork out of it.

I built a free tool that creates a customized packing list just for you—based on only two quick questions:

  1. Where are you going?
  2. How long are you staying?

Answer them here ⬇️

That’s it! Your personalized list will be ready in seconds, so you can stop overthinking your packing strategy and start getting excited about your trip 👏🏼

Cute Dinner Outfits (6)

Even if most of your days are spent sightseeing and exploring, chances are you’ll have a few special evenings on your itinerary. A nicer dinner, a concert, maybe a little date night moment 💕

That’s why I’m including six separate dinner outfits in this travel outfit planner for spring in Europe.

Since this packing list covers about 2.5 weeks, six feels like the sweet spot: it gives you enough variety for those memorable nights out, without overpacking pieces you’ll only wear once.

Notice you will wear either the striped cardigan, the trench coat, the button down shirt or a pashmina depending on the temperature. I’m showing you the outfits without the extra layer so you can actually see how it looks!

Notice I’m always wearing these sandals. They are the perfect going out shoe for Europe!

Your Travel Outfit Planner for Spring in Europe (Carry-On Friendly!)

✅ Why this works:

  • Many of the pieces come straight from your daytime looks—just styled differently.
  • Shoes and accessories do a lot of the heavy lifting to dress things up. (that’s why I always pack these sandals for Europe)
  • With layers and a few elevated basics you’ll look polished without needing to pack extra “just in case” outfits.

The goal of this travel outfit planner for spring in Europe is simple: outfits that feel special, while still keeping your suitcase light.

So, there you have it! Your travel outfit planner for spring in Europe.

And now you may be thinking, “Wow… that’s so little.”

Do you have to do laundry? Probably yes, but just once. I usually plan to do a quick load at around day 10. Most Airbnbs and hotels in Europe make this easy, and honestly, it’s worth it to travel light and stress-free.

So, for how many days is this packing list good for? As many as you need. This capsule was designed for 2.5 weeks without doing laundry. But because most of these pieces easily mix and match (and layers create endless combos), it works just as well any trip longer than that (doing laundry of course).

That’s the beauty of a well-planned wardrobe 👏🏼

Remember I live out of this 20″ carry-on! If I can “survive” with these quantities, so can you. I promise it’s easier than you think.

This travel outfit planner for spring in Europe proves that a handful of smart, versatile pieces can give you dozens of outfits—and the confidence to enjoy your trip without overthinking what to wear.

Here are the exact pieces that made this travel outfit planner for spring in Europe possible (and why):

  • Basic Scoop Neck Tank Top: A great base layer for spring. Works on its own on warmer days and layers seamlessly under sweaters, vests, and jackets.
  • Basic Scoop Neck T-Shirt: A spring travel staple. It instantly freshens up outfits and works with every bottom in this travel outfit planner.
  • Linen Vest: Adds structure without warmth, which is perfect for spring. It’s an easy way to elevate simple tops and pants without over-layering.
  • Long Sleeve T-Shirt: Ideal for cooler mornings, travel days, and unpredictable weather. Looks polished but feels casual and comfortable.
  • Cashmere T-Shirt: Lightweight but cozy, making it perfect for spring temperatures. Adds a soft pop of color while still feeling elevated.
  • Sweater Tank Top: Great for transitional weather when it’s too warm for sleeves but you still want some texture.
  • Organic Cotton Waffle Cropped Sweater Tank: Adds dimension to outfits without bulk. Works beautifully with high-waisted pants and skirts.
  • Cashmere Sweater: A spring-appropriate sweater that’s warm without being heavy. Perfect for evenings, travel days, and layering over dresses.
  • Cashmere Sweater: Stripes feel very European and timeless. This one adds interest while still working with every bottom in the capsule.
  • Short Trench Coat: A must for spring in Europe. It pulls every outfit together, handles light rain, and is perfect for layering over both casual and dressy looks.
  • Cozy Cotton Cardigan: Ideal for flights, trains, and cooler mornings. Softer and more relaxed than the trench, but still polished.
  • Button Down Cotton Gauze Shirt: A true multitasker: wear it open as a layer, buttoned as a top, or tied at the waist. Breathable and perfect for spring.
  • Silk Mini Skirt: Lightweight and easy to dress up or down. Works well with sneakers for daytime and sandals for dinner. Also comes in midi or maxi length.
  • Ponte Wide Leg Pants: Comfortable enough for long walking days and travel, but polished enough for dinner. These are a workhorse piece.
  • Bella Stretch Skinny Jeans: Great for cooler days and travel days. Easy to style with sweaters, tees, and layers.
  • Organic Cotton Poplin Pull-On Pants: Relaxed, breathable, and perfect for spring weather. Adds color without sacrificing versatility.
  • Linen Jumpsuit: An easy one-and-done outfit that works for sightseeing or dinner with the right shoes.
  • Silk Midi Dress: Lightweight, packable, and perfect for dressier evenings. Works with both sandals and layers for cooler nights.
  • White Leather Sneakers: Essential for walking-heavy days, travel days, and sightseeing. Clean and polished enough for Europe
  • Italian Leather Platform Sandals: Comfortable but elevated, perfect for warm days and nicer dinners.
  • Nappa Leather Double Buckle Slide: Easy to slip on for quick outings or relaxed days. Neutral enough to work with every outfit.
  • Leather Crossbody Bag: Hands-free, secure, and practical for walking-heavy days while still adding a soft pop of color. Make sure the crossbody bag you choose to bring has a zipper!
  • Gold Jewelry: Simple jewelry elevates even the most casual outfit and takes up zero space. I pack all my jewelry inside this travel jewelry box.
  • Pashmina: My top travel accessory for spring in Europe (and almost any other trip). Use it as a scarf, light layer, plane blanket, or evening wrap.

That’s it. Simple, intentional, and always stylish.

Hope this helps. You’ve got this 💪🏼

XO,

Aimara

Yesterday we had a full day of exploring different Yesterday we had a full day of exploring different places and I needed different outfits but I didn’t have space to bring a whole new look. That’s when button down shirts + sneakers come handy!

In the morning we went to the beach to snorkel and in the afternoon we explored Mayan ruins and had drinks and dinner. I needed sun protection and sneakers because they don’t recommend to walk the ruins in sandals (uneven terrain). I was able to change the wet bathing suit at the beach restaurant and didn’! get sunburn! Win win!!

Turkey has been incredible. We are blown away by h Turkey has been incredible. We are blown away by how beautiful it is, all the different landscapes, the food, and above everything, the people ❤️

Looking back to a few weeks ago when I was really afraid of going on this trip, thinking about all the things that could go wrong, being a little upset with myself in a way for not wanting the traditional life path I always thought was my only choice; get married, buy a house, have kids, save money and travel when you retire. That’s not for me.

I’m very happy I followed my heart 💕 I wrote a letter to myself on the blog: “What’s the best that can happen if the worst happens?” You can check it out by clicking the link in my bio. I hope it inspires you to think about what YOU really want in your heart, make a plan and go after it (but be patient). I promise that if I did it, so can you.

You have everything it takes ❤️

Our days in beautiful Kas are almost over. I’m leaving a piece of my heart in this cute little town and we will definitely be back! Now it’s time to hop on a 6 hour bus to Pamukkale and see what that place is all about!

Honestly, the only reason we are going there is because of me. G is not too crazy about it, but I’ve seen it on Instagram so much that I wanted to see for myself what the buzz was all about. So I’ll keep you posted on what it actually is!

If you are interested in knowing more about Kas (and all the amazing places we are visiting) we share a lot more on @waysoftheworld_ 💞

I was brave 💙 This was the most amazing experienc I was brave 💙

This was the most amazing experience. I was SO nervous and anxious before but somehow I managed to push through and tried this very scary thing for the first time. And you know what I learned? That I loved it! I would do it again a million times! It wasn’t scary at all. It was all in my head and it wasn’t real. Also, they had the sweetest dog at the shop named Lucy that really help me not to think about it (swipe to see her 😍)

We didn’t do any crazy tricks like G did and it was a very peaceful flight. It’s up to you how you want to do it.

I can see why Ölüdeniz is one of the top places in the world to go paragliding. If you only want to do it once to cross it off your bucket list, this is the place you go to. We shared a post about with useful information in case you are interested. Link in bio + stories.

Would you do it? 🙃
