If you’ve ever stood in front of a full closet and felt like you had nothing to wear, this post is for you.
A fashion capsule wardrobe fixes that. Instead of a closet full of random pieces that don’t talk to each other, you have a smaller, intentional collection where everything works together.
✅ Getting dressed becomes easy.
🧳 Packing becomes easy.
🛍️ Shopping becomes more intentional and a lot less expensive over time.
I’ve been building my fashion capsule wardrobe for years, and one brand keeps showing up in my rotation more than any other: Quince. I’ve been a fan since they were called Last Brand — yes, that was their actual name before they rebranded.
I remember finding their cashmere sweaters, seeing the $50 price tag, and assuming something was off. That kind of quality at that price didn’t make sense to me.
It does now.
Quince works on a direct-from-factory model, which cuts out all the middlemen and passes the savings to you. That’s how you get real Mongolian cashmere, European linen, and washable silk at prices that don’t make you want to sit down.
So today I’m sharing the 25 pieces that make an excellent foundation for a fashion capsule wardrobe. All from Quince, all personally tested, all worth talking about. Whether you’re starting from scratch or just trying to fill in some gaps, these are the pieces I’d point you toward first.

Why Quince Is the Secret Behind My Fashion Capsule Wardrobe
The reason I keep coming back to Quince specifically for my fashion capsule wardrobe isn’t just the price. It’s the philosophy behind the clothes.
Everything they make is designed to be a basic or an essential. Neutral colors, clean silhouettes, timeless styles. Nothing trendy that you’ll want to replace in a year, nothing so specific that it only works with one outfit. Just good pieces that mix and match endlessly, which is exactly what a capsule wardrobe needs to actually work.
The other thing I’ll say is that the quality holds up in a way that fast fashion never does. I’ve worn the same cashmere pieces for years. The linen gets better with every wash. The leather goods have survived years of full-time travel without falling apart.
When you’re building a wardrobe that’s supposed to last, that matters a lot more than buying five cheap versions of the same thing.
The Rules I Used to Build This Fashion Capsule Wardrobe
I didn’t just throw 25 random pieces together. There’s a logic to a fashion capsule wardrobe that makes everything work, and it comes down to three rules.
1️⃣ Every piece must work with at least 3 others. If something only pairs with one specific item, it’s not capsule wardrobe material. Every top needs to work with multiple bottoms. Every layer needs to work with multiple outfits. If it doesn’t play well with others, it doesn’t make the cut.
2️⃣ Stick to a tight color palette. Mine is built around neutrals, black, beige, white, navy, with the occasional earthy tone. When every piece lives in the same color family, everything mixes and matches without thinking. No more standing in front of your closet trying to figure out what goes with what.
3️⃣ Fabric matters more than style. The most beautiful top in the world means nothing if it’s uncomfortable, falls apart after three washes, or only works in one season. I always think about fabric first. How does it feel? How does it hold up over time? Does it work in the climate I’m dressing for? Style is easy to find. A good fabric is what makes a piece actually last.
My Fashion Capsule Wardrobe: 25 Pieces Under $500
Here’s exactly how I break it down. I’ll walk you through each category, what I chose, and why it earns its spot.
👚 Tops (8 pieces)
Tops are where most people overpay. You don’t need to. These are the tops I actually live in:
#1 – Cotton Modal Scoop Neck Tee — $15
Every fashion capsule wardrobe needs a great basic tee, and this one is genuinely hard to beat at $15.
It’s made from 50% cotton and 50% modal, which gives it that soft, slightly stretchy feel that holds its shape without being clingy. It’s wrinkle resistant, washes easily, and dries fast — which matters a lot more than people realize once you’re actually living with a small wardrobe day to day.
I wear two colors the most: white and black. They work under blazers, tucked into silk skirts, knotted over jeans, or just worn alone on a casual day. That’s the whole point of a piece like this — it disappears into everything and makes every other piece in your wardrobe easier to style.
It comes in 10 colors including navy, heather grey, dark olive, and dark taupe, so there’s genuinely something for every palette. I wear size XS for a fitted look (I’m 5’4″, 125 lbs) and it fits exactly how I want it to.
If you prefer a V-neck, they make the exact same tee in a V-neck version for the same price. And if you’re taller or prefer a relaxed, oversized fit, the swing version was designed with that in mind.
One more thing: you can buy a 3-pack and save 20%, which is honestly the move if you’re building a capsule wardrobe and plan to wear these constantly.
#2 – European Linen Button-Down Shirt — $42
If I had to pick one top that works the hardest in a fashion capsule wardrobe, this would probably be it.
It’s made from 100% European flax linen, which is naturally breathable and heat-regulating.
What that actually means in real life: you can wear this shirt on a hot day and not feel like you’re suffocating. If you’ve ever been somewhere warm and overdressed, you know exactly how much that matters. It also gets softer with every single wash, so it genuinely gets better over time.
The way I wear it: buttoned up as a top, half-tucked into wide leg pants for a more polished look, or open over a tank as a lightweight layer. Three completely different outfits, one shirt. That’s exactly the energy a fashion capsule wardrobe needs. I wear size XS (I’m 5’4″, 125 lbs) and the fit is relaxed without being oversized.
👉🏼 Not a linen person? The cotton gauze button-down is a great alternative. Similar vibe, slightly smoother finish, just as breathable for warm weather. (it does run large though)
#3 – European Linen Fitted Tank — $42
This is the piece that quietly makes everything else in your fashion capsule wardrobe work better.
It’s 100% European linen with a flattering square neckline, adjustable straps, and a fitted silhouette that looks intentional rather than just thrown on.
🔥On hot days it’s genuinely one of the best things you can wear — linen is naturally heat-regulating, which means it keeps you cool without clinging to you the way synthetic fabrics do.
💨 On cooler days it layers beautifully under a blazer, a cardigan, or even the linen button-down from piece #2.
I love how it looks as a DIY matching set with my tapered linen pants (piece #9 in this fashion capsule wardrobe)
I wear size XS (5’4″, 125 lbs) and the fit is true to size. This top comes in 8 colors!
#4 – Silk Cami — $50
This is your elevated basic. The piece that takes any outfit from “I just grabbed whatever” to “I actually tried today” without any extra effort.
It’s 100% silk, which means it has that natural drape and sheen that synthetic fabrics just can’t replicate. It looks expensive because the fabric genuinely is, but at Quince prices it’s surprisingly accessible. It comes in 16 colors, so finding one (or two) that works with your palette is easy.
🙋🏻♀️ The way I wear it: tucked into wide leg pants for dinner, layered under a blazer for something more polished, or under a cardigan on cooler days. It also makes a beautiful DIY matching set with the silk mini, midi, or maxi skirt, one of those combinations that looks like you planned it without really trying.
One honest note on silk: it shows wrinkles. That’s just the reality of the fabric. If that bothers you, go for a printed style — the pattern does a surprisingly good job of hiding it. (see photo below)
Sizing note: this one fits true to size. I wear XS (5’4″, 125 lbs). I tried going up to a size S hoping for a looser fit and it was just too much extra fabric, so I went back to my usual size. And generally with Quince, it’s always worth reading the reviews before ordering since sizing can vary across styles/colors.
#5 – Mongolian Cashmere Short Sleeve Tee — $50
Think of this as your regular cotton tee, but make it luxurious.
It’s made from 100% sustainably sourced Mongolian cashmere, which means it’s incredibly soft, naturally temperature-regulating, and gets even softer with every wear. Unlike a regular tee, you can easily wear this 5 to 6 times between washes, which makes it great for traveling!
What I love about this specific style is the length. It’s slightly shorter than a standard tee, which makes it incredibly easy to style both ways. Wear it untucked and it sits at just the right spot to look intentional without being a crop top. Tuck it in and it stays put without all that extra fabric bunching at your waist.
Both looks work, and that’s exactly what you want in a fashion capsule wardrobe piece.
I wear it in fall, winter, spring, and summer — layered under a blazer when it’s cool, worn alone when it’s warm. 12 colors available, so it’s easy to find one that fits your palette.
On sizing: I’m usually an XS across the board but I wear a S in this one. I’d say it runs slightly small, so worth sizing up if you’re in between sizes.
#6 – Cotton Modal Tank Top — $15
The most underrated piece in this entire fashion capsule wardrobe.
It’s made from 50% cotton and 50% modal, so it’s soft, slightly stretchy, wrinkle resistant, and has a smooth finish that looks clean and intentional even when you’re keeping it simple. Bra-friendly straps and a curved hem are small details that make a real difference.
I have it in 4 colors and rotate them constantly. The reason I love it so much is that it lets your bottoms and accessories do the talking. Pair it with a fun printed skirt and bold earrings and you look completely put together. Pair it with simple jeans and a cardigan and you look equally polished. It just works, quietly, every single time.
Comes in 6 colors. I wear size XS and it fits true to size.
#7 – Organic Cotton Waffle Cropped Sweater Tank — $29
This is the piece that looks like you put in way more effort than you actually did.
It’s made from 100% organic cotton with a subtle waffle texture that adds visual interest without being loud. That texture is what sets it apart from a regular tank — it’s interesting enough to wear on its own but neutral enough to layer under anything. The cropped length hits at just the right spot to pair with high-waisted bottoms without showing anything you don’t want to show.
The best part: no tucking required. The length does the work for you, which means you just throw it on with your favorite wide leg pants or a skirt and you’re done. It works in summer on its own, in spring and fall under a blazer or cardigan, and even in winter as a base layer. Year-round piece, full stop.
Comes in 4 colors. I wear size S and I’d definitely recommend sizing up — it runs small. If this style is sold out, here are some similar options worth checking out.
#8 – Organic Cotton Turtleneck – $24
A turtleneck is one of those pieces that instantly elevates everything around it. Swap a regular tee for a fitted turtleneck and suddenly the whole outfit looks more intentional, more polished, more put together. It’s a small change with a big visual payoff.
This one is made from 100% organic cotton with a classic ribbed design and a fitted silhouette. It’s soft, comfortable, and works as a base layer under a blazer or coat, or on its own with your favorite wide leg pants or skirt. It’s also one of those pieces that looks equally good tucked into a high-waisted bottom or left out — both work.
It comes in 3 colors. I wear size S and I’d recommend sizing up since it runs fitted. If you’re between sizes, go up. If this style is sold out, here are some similar turtleneck options worth checking out.
👗 Not sure where to start with your own fashion capsule wardrobe?
Take this quick quiz and I’ll help you figure out exactly what your closet needs. It only takes 2 minutes and the results are actually useful.
Answer here ⬇️
👖 Bottoms (6 pieces)
>>> I always say: choose your bottoms first.
They set the tone for your entire fashion capsule wardrobe. The style of your pants or skirt determines what shoes work, what tops pair well, and whether your overall look reads as casual, polished, or somewhere in between.
Get these right and every top you own suddenly has a purpose. Get them wrong and you end up with a closet full of tops that don’t go with anything.
Here’s what made my cut for this Quince fashion capsule wardrobe:
#9 – European Linen Tapered Pants — $42
Linen pants are a fashion capsule wardrobe staple for a reason. They’re made from 100% European linen, naturally breathable and ideal for warm weather. It’s one of those fabrics that actually gets better looking with every wear and every wash. It softens, it settles, and develops a relaxed quality that feels expensive without trying.
The tapered cut is what makes these pants stand out specifically. Quince also makes wide leg linen pants and straight leg linen pants, and while those are great options too, I’ve found the tapered silhouette to be the most universally flattering.
They come in 8 colors. I wear size XS (5’4″, 125 lbs) and they fit true to size. I also have the light colored pairs in size S (pictured below) because I prefer the looser fit when it comes to light colors. Otherwise my butt looks too big 😜
#10 – Ultra-Stretch Ponte Wide Leg Pants — $44
If linen is my warm-weather staple, ponte is my year-round workhorse. And these pants are the reason why.
Ponte is a structured knit fabric that looks polished and put-together from the outside but feels incredibly comfortable to wear. They hold their shape beautifully throughout the day and transition effortlessly from casual to dressy depending on what you pair them with.
You can wear them to the office, out to dinner, on long travel days, and honestly just around the house on WFH days when you want to feel put-together without any effort. Very few pieces in a fashion capsule wardrobe can do all of that. These pants can.
Note about sizing: I have these in both size 2 and 4, with inseam 24 and 26, and I’ll be honest — the sizing is not always consistent across colors. In my experience the grey morel and olive run slightly smaller than the other colors.
My best advice is to read the reviews before ordering, especially if you’re between sizes. Other shoppers will tell you exactly what to expect and it’s worth taking two minutes to check.

#11 – Washable Silk Midi Skirt — $70
The word “washable” next to “silk” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here — and it’s the main reason this skirt earns its spot in a fashion capsule wardrobe.
Real silk is notoriously high maintenance. Dry clean only, handle with care, don’t look at it wrong. This one throws all of that out the window. I can confirm from personal experience that it survives machine washing, and yes, even the occasional sketchy wash and fold situation I often times experience as a full time traveler.
Beyond the practicality, it’s just a beautiful skirt. The silk has that natural drape and subtle sheen that makes any outfit look more elevated. Wear it with a simple tank and leather sneakers for a casual day look, or dress it up with the silk cami and sandals for dinner. Two completely different outfits, zero effort.
It comes in 15 colors and also comes in mini length or maxi length if you prefer more coverage. I wear size S and it fits true to size.
#12 – Silk Mini Skirt — $60
Everything you love about the midi skirt from piece #11, just shorter and a little more flirty.
Same washable silk fabric, same beautiful drape, same effortless styling — but with a mini length that works great for date nights, summer days, or any occasion where you want to show a little more leg. Pair it with the cotton tee and sneakers for a casual daytime look, then swap to the silk cami and sandals for evening. Two completely different outfits, one piece.
I’ll be honest though: if comfort is your top priority, the midi length wins every time. The mini is fun and I genuinely love it for the right occasions, but just be aware of windy days. You’ve been warned 😄
It comes in 6 colors. I wear size S and it fits true to size.
# 13 – European Linen Shorts — $32
I’ll be honest — I wasn’t really a shorts person before these.
They’re made from 100% European linen, which means they’re light, breathable, and genuinely comfortable in the heat without that heavy, sticky feeling you get from other fabrics. The cut is simple and clean, which is exactly what makes them so easy to style. Not too casual, not too dressy. Just right.
My favorite thing about these shorts is the DIY matching set potential. Pair them with the linen fitted tank from piece #3, the linen button-down from piece #2, or even the waffle sweater tank from piece #7 and you instantly have a coordinated look that looks intentional without any planning. It’s one of those combinations that always gets compliments.
They come in 9 colors. I wear size S and they fit true to size. Browse other styles of linen shorts here.
#14 – Bella Stretch Skinny Jeans — $50
Every fashion capsule wardrobe needs one great pair of jeans, and these are it.
What makes them stand out is the stretch. They look like a classic skinny jean but they move with you in a way that stiff denim never does. No breaking them in, no uncomfortable waistband at the end of a long day, no stiffness. Just a clean, flattering fit that feels as good as it looks.
I wear size 26 with a 26″ inseam and they fit like a glove. They also come in a wide leg version if that’s more your style. Either way, the stretch fabric and the quality are the same.
🧥 Layers (4 pieces)
#15 – Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater — $50
This is the piece that started it all for me.
Back when Quince was still called Last Brand, this was one of the first pieces I ever ordered from them. I saw the price, I was skeptical, and I ordered it anyway. It arrived, I tried it on, and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. That was years ago. I still have it. It still looks great.
Mongolian cashmere is exceptionally soft and naturally temperature regulating, which means it keeps you warm without that heavy, overheated feeling you get from bulkier knits. It’s light enough to layer under a jacket or trench coat, warm enough to wear on its own on a cool evening, and it looks polished with literally everything — jeans, silk skirts, linen pants, you name it.
The other thing worth mentioning: cashmere is incredibly low maintenance once you get over the initial intimidation of it. You can wear it multiple times between washes, it doesn’t wrinkle, and it gets softer with every wear.
For $50 it’s honestly one of the best investments you can make for a fashion capsule wardrobe.
I wear size S. If you’re between sizes, go up — this is a piece you want to feel comfortable and relaxed in, not stretched out.
#16 – Organic Cotton Denim Chore Jacket — $60
If you already own a classic denim jacket, think of this as the more interesting, slightly more grown-up version of it. If you already have one you love, you can skip this one. But if you’re in the market for a new denim jacket, this is the one I’d point you toward first.
The chore jacket silhouette has that workwear inspired look with patch pockets at the waist, a small chest pocket, and a structured cut that sits right at the hip. That hip length is actually what makes it so easy to style — it hits at exactly the right spot to balance out skinny jeans, straight leg pants, or any fitted bottom. It’s made from 100% organic cotton, so it’s sturdy and substantial without feeling stiff.
It comes in 3 shades: indigo blue, dark indigo, and washed black. If you prefer a more classic denim jacket style, Quince makes that too.
I wear size XS and I’ll be honest, the sleeves run a little long on me — but I have that problem with most jackets at 5’4″. Overall it fits slightly big, so I’d consider sizing down if you’re between sizes.
#17 – Mongolian Cashmere Long Cardigan — $110
This is the layer that makes everything look more put together without any extra effort.
It’s a long open-front cardigan made from Grade-A Mongolian cashmere, which means it’s incredibly soft, naturally temperature regulating, and gets better with every wear. The length is what makes it special — it adds an elegant, elongating quality to any outfit that a cropped cardigan just can’t replicate. Throw it over a simple tee and jeans and suddenly the whole look feels intentional.
I wear it over tanks, silk camis, and even dresses when I want an extra layer without the bulk. It’s cozy enough for cooler days but not so heavy that it feels like too much. And because it’s cashmere, you can wear it 5 to 6 times between washes, which makes it surprisingly low maintenance. (it’s a great travel piece too)
If you prefer a more structured, polished look, a linen blazer is a great alternative to this one. Different vibe, same versatility.
Comes in 6 colors. I wear size S and it fits true to size.
🎯 More gorgeous long cardigans from Quince, here. (other fabrics too)
#18 – Comfort Stretch Short Trench Coat — $90
A trench coat is one of those pieces that never goes out of style, and this short version is the one I’d recommend for most people my height.
What makes it work so well is the versatility. It looks polished over a silk cami and wide leg pants for dinner, but it works just as well thrown over a casual tee and jeans. The belted waist and classic lapels give it that timeless trench silhouette, and the fabric has a slight stretch and a water-resistant finish — genuinely useful when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
The short length is also a practical choice, especially if you’re 5’4″ or under. It hits at just the right spot to balance out any outfit without overwhelming your frame. I wear size XS and it fits true to size. Fair warning though: the sleeves run slightly long on me — but that’s a problem I have with basically every jacket, so take that with a grain of salt ;)
🎨 It comes in 3 colors: light khaki, midnight black, and navy. Personally I only need one of these — the khaki goes with everything — but if you want options, Quince also makes a midi version and a long version.
🎯 Browse other trench coat styles here.
👗 Dresses (3 pieces)
A good dress is a cheat code for getting dressed. One piece, zero coordination required, and you still look like you put in effort.
The three dresses in this fashion capsule wardrobe cover every scenario — casual days, beach towns, dinners out, and everything in between. And because they’re all from Quince’s washable silk and linen lines, they look significantly more expensive than they are.
#19 – Silk midi dress — $89
I’ve worn this dress to a beach town in the morning and to a nice restaurant that same evening without changing. That kind of flexibility is exactly what earns a piece a permanent spot in a fashion capsule wardrobe.
It’s made from 100% washable mulberry silk, which means it has that gorgeous drape and subtle sheen that makes silk so appealing — without the dry cleaning drama. You can hand wash it, machine wash it, and it comes out looking great. Just skip the dryer.
The silhouette is super flattering and easy to layer. Throw the denim jacket from piece #16 over it for a casual daytime look, or wear it on its own with leather sandals for dinner. If you prefer more coverage or want something more bra-friendly, the sleeveless tank version has a higher neckline and works just as beautifully.
One honest note: silk wrinkles. If that’s a dealbreaker, opt for a printed style — the pattern hides them really well and you honestly can’t tell.
I wear size S and it fits true to size. Browse more stunning silk pieces from Quince, here.
#20 – Printed Linen Midi Dress — $84
If there’s one dress that makes getting dressed feel completely effortless, it’s this one.
It’s 100% European linen, which means it breathes beautifully in the heat and gets softer with every wear. The ruched back and adjustable straps make the fit surprisingly forgiving and comfortable, and yes — it has pockets. Always worth mentioning!
I have mine in the blue and white floral print, and that’s actually my biggest tip with this dress: go for a print. Linen wrinkles, and a printed style hides that almost completely. You’ll look put-together even after a long day out, which is exactly what you want from a fashion capsule wardrobe piece.
This style just got a refresh and now comes in 13 colors and prints, so there’s genuinely something for every taste.
On sizing: I wear size S but I could also wear XS. It runs slightly generous, so if you’re between sizes or prefer a more fitted look, size down. If you like things a little more relaxed, stay true to size.
🎯 You can browse different styles of linen dresses here. It’s a must-fabric for summer!
#21 – Linen Jumpsuit — $64
Can we talk about jumpsuits for a second? One piece, complete outfit, zero decisions.
You don’t have to think about whether your top works with your bottom, whether your tucking is right, or whether the proportions are off. You just put it on and you’re done. That’s the whole appeal.
This one has a beautiful square neckline, a relaxed fit that still looks intentional, and — very importantly — pockets. At 5’4″ the length hits perfectly without any alterations, which isn’t always a given with jumpsuits.
The linen keeps things cool and breathable in warm weather, and the 13 color options mean you can find something that fits right into your existing palette. I wear size XS and it fits true to size.
Now, the one thing nobody tells you about jumpsuits: public bathrooms. It’s a whole production. You basically have to get half undressed every single time. Is it worth it? Yes. Is it annoying? Also yes. Just something to mentally prepare for 😄
🎯 If you love this style, browse all linen jumpsuits here for more options.
👟 Shoes (3 pairs)
Three pairs.
That’s all you need in a fashion capsule wardrobe, and honestly, that’s all you should want. The goal is to pick shoes that work across multiple outfits and occasions so nothing sits unworn.
These three cover every scenario from casual days to dinners out without duplicating each other.
#22 – White leather sneakers — $84
The shoe that goes with literally everything in this list.
White leather sneakers have this particular quality where they make any outfit look more put-together without trying. Throw them on with the silk midi skirt and a tee and the whole look suddenly feels intentional. Wear them with the linen wide leg pants and a simple tank and you look like you’ve been planning your outfits days in advance. You didn’t. That’s the point.
What makes these specifically worth talking about is the comfort. Most leather sneakers need a painful break-in period — blisters, stiff leather, the works. These felt comfortable straight out of the box, which in my experience is genuinely rare. I’ve worn mine across 10+ countries and they still look great. Over 400 five-star reviews back that up.
They come in white and black, fit true to size, and work with every single bottom in this fashion capsule wardrobe. Get your Quince leather sneakers here.
#23 – Italian leather platform sandals — $72
If you’ve ever worn flat sandals on cobblestone streets and regretted every single step, these are the answer.
The platform sole gives you just enough height and cushioning to make a real difference on uneven surfaces — cobblestones, old city streets, anywhere that punishes flat shoes. These sandals look dressy enough for dinner but they’re comfortable enough to actually wear all day, which is a combination that’s surprisingly hard to find in a sandal.
I reach for these whenever I want to look a little more put-together without committing to an uncomfortable shoe. They pair beautifully with the silk midi dress, the linen wide leg pants, and honestly most things in this fashion capsule wardrobe.
They come in 3 colors and fit slightly small — I ordered my usual size 6 and they work, but I could see myself going half a size up if that option were available. Worth keeping in mind when you order.
⚠️ One more thing: these tend to sell out fast, especially in spring and summer. If you see your size available, don’t wait around on it. Check them out here.
#24 – Nappa Leather Slides — $72
Every wardrobe needs a shoe you can slip on without thinking about it, and these are that shoe.
They’re not a going-out shoe or a special occasion shoe. They’re your everyday casual option — beach days, morning coffee runs, quick errands, or any day where you want to look put-together without putting in much effort. What surprises most people is how well they hold up temperature-wise. I’ve worn mine on days that were in the 60s and they worked just fine, which means they’re not strictly a summer shoe either.
The Nappa leather gives them a clean, elevated look that keeps them from ever sliding into sloppy territory. Pair them with the linen shorts, a dress, or even the silk midi skirt and they always look intentional.
They come in 3 colors and fit true to size. Check them out here.
👜 The Bag (1 piece)
# 25 – Italian Leather Raffia Crossbody Bag – $102
Let me tell you something about this bag: it has been rained on, spilled on (coffee, obviously), thrown in overhead bins, and dragged through two years of full-time travel. It still looks great. That’s the only review that actually matters.
Beyond the durability, it’s just a genuinely beautiful bag. The raffia detail gives it a texture that looks interesting and elevated without being flashy. No logos, no branding, nothing screaming for attention — just really good quality that speaks for itself. That’s actually one of my favorite things about Quince accessories across the board. You get the quality of a luxury brand without the part where everyone knows exactly what you paid for it.
The structured shape and zippered closure keep everything organized and secure, and it works with every single outfit in this fashion capsule wardrobe without clashing or competing. It comes in 2 colors.

2️⃣2️⃣ Italian Leather Sneakers — $84 — Comfortable straight out of the box, worn across 14 countries, still going strong.
2️⃣3️⃣ Italian Leather Platform Sandals — $72 — Dressy enough for dinner, comfortable enough for cobblestones. Grab them when you see your size — they sell out fast.
2️⃣4️⃣ Nappa Leather Slides — $72 — Your slip-on option for casual days. More versatile than they look.
👜 The One Bag (1):
2️⃣5️⃣ Italian Leather Raffia Crossbody Bag — Two years of full-time travel, coffee spills, rain, and overhead bins. Still looks great. This is the bag.
Building a fashion capsule wardrobe isn’t something that happens in one shopping cart.
This is something you build over time, intentionally, replacing the things that aren’t working with pieces that actually do.
If you already own a good tee, a pair of jeans, or a denim jacket you love — keep them. This list isn’t about starting over. It’s about knowing which pieces are worth investing in and why. The goal is a wardrobe where everything earns its spot, nothing goes unworn, and getting dressed stops feeling like a daily negotiation with your own closet.
Quince made that easier for me than any other brand has. Not because every single piece is perfect, but because the quality is real, the prices are honest, and the basics are actually basic. It’s rare to have all three.
Start with three or four pieces from the categories where your wardrobe feels weakest. See how they wear. I think you’ll be surprised how quickly a few good pieces can change how your whole wardrobe feels.
Happy styling! ⭐️
XO,
Aimara

About the author:
Hey, I’m Aimara 👋🏻 I’m originally from Venezuela, moved to Chicago at 27, met my husband Gordon, and in 2021 we sold everything we owned and started traveling the world full time — out of carry-ons.
What started as a leap of faith turned into a complete lifestyle reset, and somewhere along the way I became genuinely obsessed with building a wardrobe that works harder with less.
Ways of Style is where I share everything I’ve learned — capsule wardrobes, packing strategies, travel outfits, and the honest truth about what’s actually worth buying.
