⭐️ 5 Benefits Of Finding Your Personal Style ⭐️
💃🏻 #1 More Confidence in Every Step
When you love your outfit, it shows. You walk taller, smile wider, and project confidence.
Finding your personal style is like discovering a secret superpower. You know that feeling when you put on ‘the‘ outfit and suddenly feel like you can conquer anything? 🔥 Personal style is about creating a whole wardrobe that gives you that boost every single day!
Whether it’s walking into a meeting or having dinner with friends, feeling aligned with your look gives you that little extra spring in your step.
And who doesn’t like that!?
🥰 #2 You’ll Feel More Authentic
Having a style that reflects who you are on the inside means you can skip trends and feel authentic in your clothes.
No more worrying about what everyone else is wearing—your wardrobe is uniquely for you. This can be a freeing experience, especially if you’ve ever felt pressured to dress a certain way just to fit in.
For example: Maybe you love soft, flowy dresses but often feel the pressure to dress more “seriously.” With your own style figured out, you feel totally comfortable in a romantic dress, even if everyone else is in business casual.
You will also learn how to make each look your own! Following the example above, you can also dress ‘business casual’ but in a way that it feels like YOU!
🛍️ #3 Shopping Becomes *finally* Less Overwhelming:
Once you know what you’re looking for, shopping feels different. You’ll find yourself skipping trends that don’t suit you and heading straight for pieces that do. Personal style acts as a guide to save you time and money because you’re not just grabbing things that look cute on the hanger or because you saw someone else wearing it, you’re choosing items that truly work for you.
Say your style leans toward minimalist classics. You won’t waste time trying on busy floral prints if you know solid colors or simple patterns are more your thing. This saves you a ton of time, and those overwhelming “try-everything-on” shopping days will become a thing of the past!
With a clear sense of what your style is, you’ll end up with pieces you actually want to wear. Less clutter means a closet full of choices that make you happy, not stressed!

🔥 #4 Makes Getting Dressed in the Morning Fun (really!):
Have you ever stood in front of your closet thinking, “I have nothing to wear”?
Finding your personal style takes that frustration out of the morning equation. With clothes that align with who you are, choosing outfits becomes a creative (and fast) way to start the day right.
When everything in your closet aligns with your style, it’s easier to mix, match, and look polished without giving it a second thought. You will easily create looks you love. It’s that simple!
🧐 #5 Reduces “Decision Fatigue”
Decision fatigue is real, and when you know your style, getting dressed becomes one less thing to stress about. You’ll know exactly what fits your vibe, so getting dressed is a smooth, no-hassle process that’s almost automatic.
Picture a wardrobe where everything goes together. You can grab any pair of pants and any top, and they’ll work. Less “hmm, does this match?” and more getting out the door fast while feeling good.
These benefits aren’t just about clothes—they’re about simplifying your life, boosting your confidence, and making it easier to be true to yourself. When your style fits who you are, your closet becomes a place of joy instead of stress.
Finding personal style isn’t just fun; it’s a way to make your daily life a little brighter!

5 practical and actionable steps on how to find your personal style:
1️⃣ Get Inspired And Gather Ideas (without overthinking it):
- Start by collecting images that grab your attention. This could be from Pinterest, Instagram, or even people you see on the street. Don’t worry about whether you’d wear it or not at first, just focus on what you like.
- Create a “Personal Style” Pinterest board or save Instagram posts. Do this for a week, look back to find any recurring themes and take notes.
2️⃣ Think About Your Lifestyle and Needs:
- Now that you have some ideas, it’s time to narrow them down by considering your lifestyle. Think about your daily life and how clothes fit into it. Are you working in an office, attending events, or constantly on the go?
- If you’re mostly at the office, you might need polished pieces, but if you work remotely, you may want comfy yet stylish loungewear options.
🎯 Quick Tip: List five words that describe your lifestyle and another five that describe how you want to feel in your clothes. Use these words as style guiding points.
3️⃣ Edit Your Closet and Identify Favorites:
- With a clearer vision of your style and lifestyle needs, head to your closet. Make a note of clothes you always reach for because they make you feel confident. These are your “hero items.” Then, sort through the rest of your clothes and decide what doesn’t fit your new style direction.
- Identify your body shape and comfort zone. This isn’t about restrictions; it’s about finding what you feel good in. Try on different silhouettes to see what feels right for you.
🎯 Quick Tip: Ask yourself why you love certain items. Is it the color, fit, or fabric? Understanding this will help you recognize what to look for in future purchases. Do the same with the pieces that don’t look good on you and take notes.
👉🏻 Remember these 10 questions when cleaning out your closet!
4️⃣ Experiment with Outfits and Find Your “Uniform”:
- Using your favorite pieces, start putting together outfits that feel like “you.” Try mixing and matching to create a few go-to looks. You may notice a certain “uniform” emerging… whether it’s high-waisted jeans, a T-shirt and a fitted blazer OR a flowy dress with ankle boots (or both).
- The goal here is to focus on a handful of outfits that make you feel great, and take note of the elements they have in common. This is the essence of your style and it will help you create your own go-to outfit formulas that never fail!
These are some examples of some of my favorite “uniforms” – These photos were taken over the past 10 years and I still recreate the same looks because it’s just one outfit formula:
Basic T-Shirt or Cami + Any Skirt + Sneakers OR Sandals + Accessories

5️⃣ Refine and Build Your Wardrobe Over Time:
- Now that you have a general idea of your style and have a few new favorite outfits, it’s time to build on that foundation. Gradually add pieces that fit your aesthetic and enhance your wardrobe. But don’t rush it! Your personal style will continue to evolve, so build it thoughtfully.
- As you shop, think quality over quantity. Choose pieces that mix well with your “uniform” and keep everything cohesive. Remember to avoid the pieces that don’t work for you! (the ones you took notes on from step 3)
Finding your personal style is a journey, not a destination. Don’t be afraid to evolve and experiment. Style is meant to be fun, not restrictive!
My style has always been classic. But I’ve had phases where it was more preppy, or more serious/formal. It has evolved with me and my lifestyle over the years. So don’t put yourself inside a box and lock yourself there.
I’ve had some pieces in my closet for YEARS! And there are other ones that I continue to buy on repeat when they need to be replaced (white sneakers, t-shirts, denim jacket, etc). I rarely buy anything ‘too edgy’ but when I do, I make sure to pair it with basic pieces (because that’s just my personal style 😉)
⭐️ Have fun experimenting and just embrace who you are today! ⭐️
I genuinely believe that the more confident women are out there, the better the world can be. Seriously!
Just think about it…
How would your relationships change?
How would you stand up for yourself?
How would you ask for what you want?
My hope is to help you discover the joy of dressing in a way that truly reflects who you are so you can feel more confident every day.
Thanks for being here ♥️ I appreciate you so freaking much!
