Weekly looks – 5 pieces, 10 looks with basic pieces to recreate
Hey loves!! Hope you all had a great week!
Here are this week’s looks. I have to confess that it’s getting harder and harder to be creative without repeating outfits, but that’s what makes it fun. I want to be clear; everything I use for my looks and outfits is my own. I don’t shop, take photos and return the items like some bloggers do.
This blog fits my lifestyle and my lifestyle includes not spending too much money shopping because I’m saving $$$ to go on a trip around the world for 2 years, so that’s what matters to me right now. I still like to look cute and I feel like over the years, I’ve built a closet that is super classic and versatile with a little bit of everything, so that’s why I can create all these looks every week.
Don’t be fooled though. It’s hard. And I honestly don’t have that much clothes. Especially now that I’ve lost so much weight! I feel great, but seriously a lot of things are really big right now and I’ve had to get rid off a lot of pieces I loved that were functional.
Anyways, here are all the ‘hero pieces’ that I chose to style this week:
Hero piece #1: Boyfriend Blazer
Such a staple! These are great for any girl no matter your lifestyle. They are so chic and comfy and never go out of style. I’ve had this one for 3-4 years and it’s such a classic! You can wear it all year round and if you update your accessories and the pieces you pair it with, that’s enough to make it look trendy and modern no matter how long it’s been.
Hero piece #2: Striped Maxi Dress
This maxi dress is gorgeousssss!!! I got it this past Summer for like $20 (link here) and it looks great with sandals and a Summer hat and as I recently discovered, looks great for Fall too. So versatile and flattering. Definitely consider getting a good maxi dress like this one.
Hero Piece #3: A Plaid Scarf
These are everywhere these days! And they sure come back every single Fall, that’s why I recommend you getting just one and save it forever! They keep you warm in style. To style them right make sure to always include in your outfit some of the colors on the scarf or keep it simple with a black and white look or an all black look. It never fails!!
Hero Piece #4: Navy Lace Dress
I love this dress from Ann Taylor!! I got it this past Summer and I love that I can style it for Fall too (Just the look on the right obv!). It looks really cute with a moto jacket and tights and booties, but I wanted to create a look for people that don’t live in cold weather LOL You guys just go out and be happy and enjoy shaving your legs and not wearing tights with dresses!
Hero Piece #5: Black Denim Skirt
I got this skirt a couple of weeks ago at Meijer for $8!!!! No word of a lie!!
I love A-line skirts because they are super flattering and you can wear them all year round and if you guys have been following me for a while, you know I’m all about that! Here are two looks that are perfect for Fall. One for colder days and one for warmer ones.
