“As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person”
Paul Shane Spear
Hi you guys! Happy Monday!
I wanted to start this week by sharing with you this beautiful quote, because it has a lot to do with the exciting news I want to share with you.
Every since I started this blog, I knew I wasn’t going to talk about myself and my outfits only. My intention all the time has been to create a voice and use it as a platform to inspire and help others.
So, recently when I stumble upon The Adventure Project (TAP) through DVF’s Instagram, (They won a DVF Award back in April this year!!) I knew immediately I had to become part of this adventure, so I contacted them. After many emails and phone calls we realized that we shared the same vision: “To create meaning by helping others”.
So, I’m now an Ambassador for The Adventure Project. In my eyes, this is the biggest thing that has happened to Ways of Style so far and I feel so happy to be sharing the news with you. It’s very rewarding to know that my actions will have a positive impact on someone else’s life. Besides, helping other people to thrive makes the world a little bit better, don’t you think?
Growing up, making a difference in other people’s lives, was a very strong practice in my house. My dad always encouraged us to save 10% of our income and donate it. I have to admit I haven’t been 100% loyal to this beautiful advice, but is never too late to catch up and get back on track. This is why I joined. It was about time to stop making excuses like not having time or resources. The reality here is that it takes so little of our privileged lives to make an impact on someone, especially those in developing countries.
There are lots of people who dedicate themselves and their lives to make an impact on others, so becoming a part of this wonderful project seemed like the perfect way to start. I thought about it and ask myself: What’s the point of having a voice if I’m not using it to improve other people’s lives?
This year, for September, they created a beautiful campaign: To create high-impact jobs in Kenya and Uganda in honor of Labor Day. This will be the first project we are working on together, and I know this is just the beginning of many great things to come.
The two main reasons why I joined The Adventure Project are:
- I believe every person has self-worth and deserves to be treated with dignity. If I can give someone marketable job skills, they can earn a living and care for their family – without handouts.
- The job I create can ripple to serve the entire community – strengthening the local economy and saving children’s lives.
If you’d like to add some meaning to your holiday and join me on this adventure you can find more info about TAP by clicking here and if you’d like to make a donation (Doesn’t matter how much) you can do so by visiting my Fundraising Page (100% of your gift is tax-deductible).
My goal for this campaign is to raise $500 by September 30th. Let’s do this!! 🙂

So, what do you guys think? Share with me how you are using your voice to help others on the comments below.
Thank you so much for your continuous support and for stopping by my blog.
Have a great and productive week ahead,
And here are some pics of me wearing my new favorite TAP T-shirt! 🙂
