Hello there 🙂
Don’t hate me for saying this, but Mondays are starting to become my favorite day of the week. I don’t know, I guess there’s something about new beginnings that I’m really digging right now.
I’m excited because Fall is here and because it is by far my favorite season. I love everything about it: the color palette, the leaves, the weather, the drinks, the food… EVERYTHING! My closet’s already looking like the trees outside. Everything is green, gray, brown and mustard. That’s why when I found this super cute trench hiding in the back waiting for spring to be used, I decided to do something fun and unusual for this time of the year: Stripes and Florals.
I know, I know, this looks more like a spring than a fall post, but like I have on my Instagram profile:
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it’s time to pause and reflect
I felt like trying something different… 🙂
I had a great weekend. How about you? It was un-usually productive. I studied for my blog, I read, I programmed 3 Blog Posts… and well that was it hahahaha.
Productivity is a subjective concept I guess.
But I did read something very interesting and as I usually do, I’d like to share it with you. I felt so inspired and alive after reading and understanding these simple lines. It’s a little long, but very powerful. So, here it goes:
“Be brave. Even if you are not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference. Don’t burn bridges. You’ll be surprised how many times you have to cross the same river. Don’t forget that a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated. Don’t major in minor things. Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have the same number of hours per day that were given to Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Theresa, Helen Keller, Leonardo Da Vinci and Albert Einstein (And Taylor Swift – Added by me). Don’t use time or words carelessly, neither can be retrieved.
Don’t waste time grieving over past mistakes, learn from them and move on. Get your priorities straight. No one ever said on his death bed: ‘Gee, if I’d only spent more time at the office’. Give people a second chance, but not a third. Judge your success by the degree that you’re enjoying peace, health and love. Never measure it with what’s on your bank account. Learn to listen. Leave everything a little better than you found it. Live your life as an exclamation, not an explanation. Loosen up. Relax. Except for rare life and death matters, nothing is as important as it first seems. Never cut what can be untied. Never overestimate your power to change others. Never overestimate your power to change yourself.
Remember that ‘overnight success’ usually takes years and that winners do what losers don’t want to do. Seek opportunity, not security. A boat in a harbor is safe, but with time its bottom will rot out. Spend less time worrying who’s right and more time deciding what’s right. There’s a big difference. Stop blaming others. Take responsibility for every area of your life. Success is getting what you want but happiness is liking what you get. The importance of winning is not what we get from it, but what we become because of it.”

Truth is that life is just full of surprises and you just have to build yourself a set of big balls to pursue whatever it is in your heart and stick to it. God I’m such a poet.
Thankfully we have writers like Jackson Brown Jr.
Well I’m out. Take care guys! Make your week count, be positive and spread good vibes!
