My VERY realistic & sustainable beauty ritual

My VERY realistic & sustainable beauty ritual

*Brought to you by Meijer Stores.

Have you guys ever made a pile of ALL the products you use from head to toe?

Well, I recently did. That’s why I decided to share with you some of my all time favorite products, plus some new additions because A) They work, B) They are a part of my daily and weekly beauty ritual and C) They are super affordable & available at Meijer.

The amount of products a girl can accumulate is insane, but if we are talking about head-to-toe beauty rituals, I feel like I do need them all…

And I do, I really do. You’re about to see why!

*Side note: These are NOT the only products I own, but I didn’t want to dive too deep into makeup, brushes or hair… for now (will do that for Fall!).

What I have for you today is a VERY realistic beauty ritual. Something fast and practical, but WORTH IT at the same time.

Ready? Here it goes:

  • Pre and post make up essentials: These two make all the difference. I rely heavily on ELF’s Primer, especially for photoshoots and L’ORÉAL’s Infallible makeup extender to help my makeup settle. It’s incredible and my makeup stays practically untouched for hours!!

If you haven’t tried a primer, I strongly recommend this one. I’m not one of those girls with perfect pores (AT ALL) and a good primer really makes all the difference.

Another important thing to consider and that a lot of people don’t worry about until is too late, are lips. Keep them hydrated girl! Winter is coming LOL and I happen to have been obsessed with Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm for quite a while now.

I only wear heavy makeup for events and photoshoots, so most days I pretty much rely on a good blush, some mascara and a pretty lipstick. I’ve been wearing L’OREAL’s Color Riche Lipstick #580 (Peony Pink), since my birthday last month and I can’t stop! I just think it’s a very pretty lipstick color and G really likes it, so it gets extra points!

Am I the only one who has a million lipsticks but always wears the same one?

  • Pamper yourself must-haves: Ok, so I’m not great at this, I used to be, but lately, not so much. It takes time to pamper yourself you know? And I don’t have a lot of time lately. I do however, have a couple of things that work great and don’t take more than 10 minutes of my time.

I’m talking about face masks and when it comes to these, I adore L’OREAL’s Pure Clay mask and the new Charcoal Masks by YES to.

Pro tip: Apply masks with a brush for a more even spread and use a sponge to remove, which will also help to exfoliate and detoxify your skin.

  • Daily Hydrating routine: I talked about this on Instagram last month, and here you have it again; you do not need to break the bank to keep your skin healthy and hydrated! I keep my routine short and sweet and I use Aveeno Daily Moisturizer every morning and OLAY Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream at night. I also love Bare Minerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment, but I ran out of it, so it’s not pictured. Sorry!

Pro Tip: Use a Jade Roller to increase & improve circulation! It only takes 2 minutes before you apply your moisturizer of choice. Try putting it in the freezer after every use (Inside a Ziploc bag, otherwise it will smell like everything in there LOL).

Also not pictured, Bioré’s Pore Unclogging Scrub. But works miracles just FYI! More details here.

  • Body prep & Misc: Last but not least, your body. For years, I have exfoliated my body with gloves once or twice a week while I’m showering and I cannot recommend it enough. This way you remove dead skin, prevent ingrown hair and your skin will absorb your moisturizer WAY better! Me and G both trust on Aveeno’s Daily Moisturizer.

Pro tip: For super dry areas like feet, knees and elbows, massage your lotion with a Vitamin E oil.

And I know, it seems completely random, but it’s just too good to ignore! Whenever I don’t have a chance to wash and style my hair, Batiste Dry Shampoo comes to the rescue. I don’t use it often, but it becomes really handy in case of emergencies.

Pro tip: Apply your dry shampoo and let it rest for 10 minutes before brushing your scalp.

So, any thoughts? Any favorites you guys can’t live without and I should try?

Let me know int he comments below!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you guys have the best week ahead 🙂
