Packing for my Florida Trip – 10 looks. Part II

Packing for my Florida Trip – 10 looks. Part II

Hi everyone!

Welcome to Part 2 of what I packed for my 20 day trip to Florida. If you didn’t read Part 1 of this post, you can do it by visiting this link.

Here are the other 10 looks I packed. I’m currently in Boca Raton, FL and this is pretty much what I packed for a the whole trip. I added other stuff last minute and left others, but in general, I applied all the tips and advice I’ve shared for packing.

Scroll down if you want to learn more about each look and some styling tips.

Out of all of these pieces, I think I’m going to leave some stuff down here because I’m not going to use any of these pieces in Chicago until July and we are getting ready to travel the world for 2 years (more about that on @waysoftheworld_) and I want to have some extra stuff here in Florida. There’s no way I’m only going to keep whatever fits in one suitcase LOL. No way! We will be selling everything we own, so I feel like keeping an extra suitcase worth of clothing will give me some peace of mind. At least in the beginning.

Anyways, here are the other 10 looks and some basic pieces I think are great for traveling.

White T-shirt looks: If you’ve been following me for a while, you know by now how much I love white T-shirts. Some people would say they are not the most practical thing in the world for traveling because they get dirty super fast, but if you can wash it, then bring it! You can also bring more than one. I packed 3 for this trip. They are so easy to style and they look super cute in my opinion.

Maxi dresses: I love a good maxi dress and they are great for traveling. I love these 2 because they are super light weight and they don’t wrinkle. Maxi dresses make you look good in a second, they dress you up. They are also super versatile and you can wear them to the beach with flip flops, to hang out during the day with flat sandals and a denim jacket or dress them up with accessories and high heels to go out at night. I always pack one or two wherever I travel.

Cute and easy daytime looks: Casual dresses are great because you just put them on and are ready to go. It’s so easy. I always pack a few of these because it’s an outfit that won’t take a lot of space out of your suitcase and they are easy to style. You can buy them anywhere and there are so many cute and cheap places like Romwe or Shein, where you can shop for $8-$10 dresses like these 2.

A Denim Jacket: Denim jackets are a must in life, but especially when you are traveling. They literally go well with everything and they are good to have around in case the weather cools down. I find them super useful in warm places where it gets colder at night but not too much. I get cold pretty easily, so I like to have with me a versatile piece like a denim jacket. I styled the orange dress from the left on part 1 of this post, and in here I re-styled it to go out for dinner.

Striped dress looks: I love stripes so much and striped dresses are no exception. This one is very lightweight, so it takes zero space from my suitcase and I love it because it works as a coverup, it looks good with any pair of shoes and I can wear it a few times before it actually looks dirty! I promise you, a striped dress will never disappoint and it’s a good piece to have handy for those days where you don’t know what to wear.

Any thoughts?

Let me know what you think and what your favorite piece/style was. Also, if you have any packing tips or advice, make sure to share them in the comments below. I love to hear from you 🙂
