WAYS OF STYLE

Making a chunky sweater look stylish for Winter + 4 different looks.

in Style on 12/04/19

This is probably one of the pieces we wear the most during Winter, so I wanted to create a post to inspire you to style your chunky sweaters for different occasions and make them look good! This one I’m wearing is from Meijer Stores and you can only buy it in-store, but I added links to similar ones under each photo.

So, without extending myself to much, here are the 4 looks I created making a chunky sweater look stylish for Winter:

Look 1. For brunch or to go out with girlfriends:

I styled it with booties, tights and a pleated midi skirt. You can try to recreate this look if you have any of these pieces, even if they are different colors or prints. This outfit is perfect for the office or to go out with girlfriends.

Look 2. For the office:

I styled the chunky sweater with my new Betabrand pants (these are the best office pants ever!) and booties. Sometimes simple is better. I’m working on a blog post to show you 4 different ways you can wear these pants for the office!

*Link to the pants here.

Look 3. For the weekend:

Even if you wear a chunky sweater in a casual way, you can still make it look stylish! Here I paired it with my Spanx leggings (read full review here), green lightweight trench and beige booties.

Look 4. For date night:

For date night, simply pair your chunky sweater with jeans and strappy sandals. Feel free to add a belt, hat, necklace or statement earrings, but not all at once lol. I chose these super pretty pearl earrings from Ana Luisa NYC. (Although you can’t see them in the photo lol, sorry!)

So, what do you think of these looks? I hope it inspires you to recreate some of these with pieces you already have in your closet. I always try to use basic things because you are most likely to have those. It took me a long time to build my capsule wardrobe, but if you are looking to start yours, I recommend you reading this post.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Any questions you may have, leave them in the comments below.

XO,

Aimara
