My go-to protein/coffee shake
As you’ve seen on my IG, I’ve been living a super healthy lifestyle (90% of the time) and wanted to share a quick recipe of a yummy protein shake with a little twist, that I use as a snack mid morning or mid afternoon.
You can make it cold or hot. I’ve been making it hot lately because of the nasty Chicago weather, but if you add ice and use cold coffee instead it makes a super refreshing Summer drink too.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 5 oz of coconut-almond milk (Or any other nut based milk of your preference)
- 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein (If you are going with the frozen version, chocolate protein tastes really good too!)
- 1 cup of black coffee (I use Cafe Bustelo because of it’s rich, bold flavor)
- A touch of cinnamon
Mix the coconut-almond milk with the whey protein in a blender and then add cinnamon and coffee. Serve warm.
That’s it!!! It looks so yummy right!?
