We’ve all been there; only 6 items are allowed at a time, smelly carpets, extremely unflattering lighting, etc. Yes, I’m talking about the –sometimes disturbingly- experience of fitting rooms.
I’ve never liked trying on anything in-store. In fact, I don’t really enjoy in-store shopping.
I mean, is there anything better than shopping from the comfort of your our home, with a glass of wine, no make-up and your PJ’s? I thought so. There’s a bad side though: the painfully experience when something doesn’t fit and you have to return it. That’s why, when I heard about Lyon + Post I just couldn’t believe it was true! Like I needed another incentive to support my online shopping addiction.
It’s all so easy! This is how it works.
It all starts when you register & select the items you’d like to try on through their website. Four days later, BAM! You’ll have some amazing pieces waiting for you to try on just outside your door. This means you get to try on any outfit at home, with your own shoes, accessories, hair, makeup, etc. so you can actually see how it will look. After that, you can return whatever you decide not to keep and pay for the item (s) you’d like to keep. Oh, did I mention there are no delivery charges? I’m just saying fare well fitting rooms for good!
I had so much fun trying on these dresses. First, I tried on this lovely white dress! Dreamy, so fresh & flirty, it just screams summer! I paired it with espadrille sandals and a hat to add a little something extra.
Since I have a few events coming up, I’m on the hunt for a couple of nice flirty summery dresses. So, these next two dresses I had to try on! I love the way both looked and the best part is that I got to pair it with different kind of shoes and accessories, hair and make up, etc. so I get the real feel of how the whole outfit is really going to look and then decide if it works or not. This light blue Cynthia Vincent dress is dreamy. The color, the fringe, the details… I mean really… I kept it simple accessorizing it with black and this beautiful handmade printed B&W clutch.
I’ve always been a BIG fan of blue! That’s why, this gorgeous dress caught my attention immediately.
What I love about it the most is that it has versatility. Is one of those dresses you can either dress-up or wear it with flip flops and you’ll look great both times. For this post I only tried the dress-it-up option.
Last but not least, there was this sequined little number that I was pretty excited for! This dress reminds me of my wedding dress. Let me explain myself; in Venezuela we have two weddings usually; the legal one and the church wedding. I haven’t had my church wedding yet, but on my “legal” one -or civil how we call it- I wore a similar dress, so it brought me back a lot of nice memories of that special day. I add the red lips and turquoise pumps to make it fun and different, but you can also go with neutrals and it will look pretty cute too!
Well, this was fun to say the least! I hope you guys go and check out Lyon + Post and try out this great service 🙂 Let me know what you think about it on the comments below.
