MY experience at PIZZERIA BEBU
Hey loves! Happy humpday!
What a better way to celebrate the middle of the week than with pizza right!?
A few weeks back I was invited to try this new pizza place in my neighborhood called Pizzeria Bebu and of course I said YES! I went with my friend Genesis, who always helps me with my photos and we were beyond spoiled by Zach, the general manager and owner.
Usually when I go to try out restaurants for the blog, I don’t go crazy. I make sure to know what’s included and what’s not, and I usually order an appetizer and two main dishes. This time was different. If it would have been for Zach, we would have tried the entire menu LOL. I was not mad about all the leftovers I got to take home, because if it were for me, I’d eat pizza every single day!
First we started with a glass of Rose. We both definitely wanted to drink more, but we had outfit shots to take after, so we were good with just one glass. Then we had salads.
We shared the roasted beet salad prepared with tahina, almond sukkah, arugula, sheep’s milk feta and mint leaves and the little gem salad with fave beans, english pea, pecorino, pistachio and meyer lemon vinaigrette. They we both amazing, especially the second one.
Then it was time for pizza! We ordered their famous ‘Bagel Smuggler’ (So perfect for brunch by the way!), made with panna, caramelized onions, house-made pancetta, farm eggs, scallions and what they call ‘everything spices’.
Just look at this beauty!
Zach, didn’t let us order just one pizza, so we also ordered one of their specialty pizzas called the ‘The truffle shuffle’. I like anything with truffles, so this was naturally my first choice amongst all the other delicious options. This pizza is made with a black truffle panna, topped with roasted wild mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, truffle pecorino, aged balsamic and chives.
For dessert we had the ‘Market Crisp’ which is not on the menu, but Zach recommended it and it was very hard to say no to him (I’m glad we didn’t).
It’s a streusel with all kinds of berries with a citrus touch and topped with vanilla ice cream on top.
What else can a girl ask for?
Safe to say that I definitely recommend Pizzeria Bebu, not only for its incredible service, but because the food is seriously outstanding. The restaurant is located at 1521 N Fremont St, Chicago IL 60642. You can also call 312.446.0039 or visit their website.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Sorry for all the drooling that must be going on right now 😉
Enjoy the rest of your week!
PS: I promise I’ll have outfit photos for you guys again next week.
