CHICAGO COLLEGE FASHION WEEK

CHICAGO COLLEGE FASHION WEEK

Hi guys!

Happy Friday! How was your week? Aren’t you glad it’s Friday? I know I am!

I had a long long week and I’m excited about this weekend because one of BFF is visiting and we’ll celebrate her 30th birthday!! YAY!

Last weekend was amazing too! This past Saturday I had the pleasure to attend a super fun fashion show called “Chicago College Fashion Week” sponsored by Foray Collective, Her Campus, and Show Me Your Mumu. It was my first time attending and I believe it was the second time it happened in Chicago, but I certainly hope they come back next year! Let me tell you a little bit of my experience.

The fashion show took place at 1st Ward Events (inside Chop Shop). If you haven’t been there, you should totally check it out! Especially because it’s in Wicker Park, which is one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Chicago. I had the chance to take one of my closest friends who was visiting from Venezuela, so it was a blast to check out all the booths with her at the event. We took photos and created boomerangs, ate KIND bars, had our make ups done, got an eyebrow wax thanks to European Wax Center, got a manicure tool set from Bertha Watches and many other fun activities!

I was lucky enough to wear this amazing crop top and skirt from Show Me Your Mumu. What do you guys think?

Special thanks to the girls of Show Me Your Mumu for making me feel so pretty!!

As for the show, there were four different ones and the looks were modeled by real college students and it was the cutest thing ever! They did an amazing job! Congrats to all the babes who where courageous enough to walk down the runway! I’m sure it was hard, but unforgettable experience!! Looks were accessorize thanks to Rebecca Minkoff and Vince Camuto.

Here are some pics of my favorite looks of the show. Enjoy!!

The first one was called “Study Chic” featuring “My Social Canvas”:

The second one was “Festival” featuring “Show Me Your Mumu” ( A Foray Collective Designer):

The third one was “Rush” featuring “Ali & Ariel” and “Frill”:

And last but not least the “Girls Night Out” show featuring “Bow & Drape”:

I have to admit that Show Me Your Mumu was by far my favorite. It reminded me of Lollapalooza and it has me dreaming about Coachella next year! What do you guys think? Which one do you like better?

We also received an incredible bag full of gifts! Seriously, the best one I’ve received so far! It had Drybar products and a certificate for a free blowout, MaidenForm thigh high socks, a StyleWatch magazine, the new Fitbit Flex 2, body lotions from European Wax Center, a Rebecca Minkoff make up bag, a special discount for a beautiful watch from Bertha Watches, Rihanna’s new perfume (RiRi) thanks to Perfumania, an Essie Fall nail polish and many other great gifts!!

Now you believe is the coolest gift bag ever? Check out what was inside and let me know your thoughts!

What do you think of the event? Is this something you’d go to?
Let me know in the comments below!

Well guys, thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

XO,
