Happy Monday and happy New Year guys!! Welcome 2020 and a new decade 🙂 I’m so excited! We decided to spend January in Florida this year and it has been so nice. I love not having to deal with Winter weather.
This is my first post of the year and I decided to start with a post for all my girl bosses out there who work in an office. You guys always request for office looks and I finally have pants I can recommend, so I decided to show you by creating 4 looks I would totally wear if I worked in an office. They are called the ‘Dress Pants Yoga Pants’ and they are the comfiest, most flattering black pants ever from a brand called Betabrand. Now look at them and tell me they are not the cutest!?
Full disclosure: These pants were gifted a couple pf months ago and I decided to post about them because I loved them so much! I rarely post about gifted products, unless I fall in love with them, and it was 100% the case here.
Link to the exact pants here. They cost $68. I’m wearing a size Small-Petite and I’m 5 4′ and 130 lbs for reference. The fabric is stretchy, they have an elastic waist (no buttons!) and the length is perfect for me with 2-3 inch heels. They come in 6 different colors too. They have other styles and versions that you can check out here, but I really like these ones the best!
They fit like a yoga pant, but are meant for the office. The material is thick, so they are good for Winter and the fabric is wrinkle resistant, which makes them perfect for traveling and to look polished and wrinkle free the whole day. I personally love the sailor button detail on the sides and the fact that they have pockets! Yes, pockets!
They have other cute things on their website, you can browse them here. The only thing is that they take a couple of weeks to deliver the products. I think they make the items when you order them, so that’s why it takes a little while. I’m not 100% sure on that, but if that’s the case, I love it because that makes them more sustainable. No waste!
Anyways, without further ado, here are all the looks and little tips for you to recreate them with things you already have in your closet. You can of course use any black pants you have, I’m just sharing these in case you are in need of new ones, because I 100% recommend them. WOS approved!
Leopard print sweater + black booties + pearl earrings + pink handbag
The trick to recreate a similar look, is to keep everything neutral and add one printed piece (the printed piece can be the shoes too, get creative!). I love anything leopard print, so I of course chose the sweater as the printed piece. I’m wearing pearl earrings (these exact ones) and added a different color bag to break the patter a little bit.
Long black vest + white t-shirt + black leather boots + neck scarf.
This is of course an option for people lucky enough to live somewhere warm LOL. Although, if it’s not too cold outside, you can totally throw a coat over and make it work too.
The trick? Use only basic pieces and add a fun one like I did with the vest (even though to me this vest is a must in every girl’s closet!). I also added the neck scarf because it makes it look more chic. What do you think?
Green lace top + black blazer + necklace + beige pumps.
The trick: Play with textures! Don’t be afraid to add a lace or a silk piece next to a bunch of classic ones. Take a closer look to all my outfits! I’m all about basic pieces because you can style them however you want and add more bold pieces any time.
Black turtle neck + moto jacket + black booties.
The trick? Black is always the answer, so don’t be afraid to wear head to toe black. It never fails! I always wear black whenever I don’t know what to wear and it really never fails ladies! This look is perfect for any type of weather because you can take the jacket off if you are somewhere warm, or add a coat over it if you are somewhere cold. What do you think?
I created these looks with things I already have in my closet and I try to repeat my outfits a lot, hopefully to inspire you to do the same. You can get creative and do whatever you want with whatever you have. These posts are just for inspiration for you not only to look good, but to feel good, make the most of what you have and help you shop smarter when you need to go shopping.
Do you have a favorite look? Would you recreate any of these?
Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below! Thanks so so much for stopping by and hope you have a great week ahead! 🙂
