10 THINGS about ME that you DEFINITELY didn’t know
I’ve seen these posts all over and since I love the idea of sharing things about myself with you, I decided to take it to another level and share a few personal things that only a few friends know about.
Ready? Here it goes!
ONE – The unbelievable:
I have never done any type of illegal drugs and I don’t think I ever will. Am I the only one who has never smoked weed?
TWO – About work:
Before starting this blog, I worked in the oil industry back in Venezuela and before that I worked in a domestic airline as a flight planner/strategist. I loved that airline job and I guess I loved being covered in oil too hahaha. I learned so much with both of those companies and I wouldn’t change a thing, because I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for those two jobs.
THREE – About my family:
I am the youngest of 10 brothers and sisters. Yes, there are 10 of us! We are a big family and we love it! It makes everything more fun… and crazy!
FOUR – Good girl thing:
I’ve only slept with 2 guys in my whole life (Including the one I’m with now). This is one of the things I’m more proud of to be honest. You don’t need to have a high number of people you’ve slept with, you really don’t. You don’t need to ‘gain experience’ to be good in bed or whatever crap the world tells you. There’s nothing more beautiful than being intimate with someone you love and create that circle of trust and a safe space that’s only yours and your partner’s (Ideally your husband, but you know… not always the case LOL). Value yourself and know how much you’re worth. Reserve being intimate for people you actually have feelings for and most important, make sure you can be as silly as possible with that person as well.
FIVE – Bad girl thing:
I haven’t smoked weed, but I have a really bad habit… I occasionally smoke cigarettes when I’m drinking. I used to be a smoker and sometimes when I’m drinking I like to smoke a cigarette or two. I haven’t done this in months though, which I’m really proud of because smoking is REALLY BAD FOR YOU!
SIX – Lowest moment:
One night, a few years ago, I thought I was going to die and instead of calling for help, I wrote a goodbye letter to my family. I had a horrible anxiety attack and I thought it was a heart attack and I just laid there on the floor, not knowing if I was going to wake up the next day. The next morning, I remember being very surprised of being alive when I first opened my eyes. That Sunday I went to Church and had a HUGE SPECIAL moment, where I realized I was not alone in this world. I realized I had an amazing Holy Father that put me in here for a reason.
SEVEN – Guilty pleasure:
I love eating Mac & Cheese while watching reruns of the Gilmore Girls (Pizza & Grey’s Anatomy also happens occasionally). This is one of the things I miss doing the most since moving in with Gordon hahaha. Probably the only thing, because living with G has been an amazing adventure.
How come I started talking about Mac & Cheese and ended up mentioning how happy I’m with G? That’s love to me! LOL
EIGHT – Religion:
I’m SUPER CHRISTIAN and proud!!! Jesus comes first, and without my faith I know I don’t have anything. It’s what keeps me going and what gives me strength to deal with the hard times and what gives me joy to celebrate and be grateful for the good ones. I always pray for a good heart and I actively try to be better every single day, but it’s hard because we are just humans. That’s why you should put an extra effort on being better. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
NINE – 5-year life plan:
Me and Gordon are saving money to travel around the world for two years! I think it will happen in like 3 years or so, but still, super excited that we both share that adventurous spirit and are not afraid to live an unconventional life. Neither of us are thinking about kids just yet, or having a house, so we are both super excited to jump into this new adventure together and just blog about our travels. Hope you guys follow along!
TEN – Life moto:
I do EVERYTHING with a joyful spirit. If it doesn’t give me joy I just don’t it. Having this as a life moto has also helped me to find the good in everything, because there are some things that we just have to do that are not necessarily our favorites, right!? I used to live a very unhappy life, where I hated almost every aspect of it, so now I’m very strict about the things I do and the people I let into my life. Remember that it’s your life and yours only, so be mindful of your decisions & its consequences and the people you decide to share your joy with.
Well, I hope these 10 things make you feel like you know me a little better! Please share some of your things below or email them to me! I love to know you guys as well! 🙂
Have a great rest of your week!
