STYLING A FLORAL SKIRT – PART 1

STYLING A FLORAL SKIRT – PART 1

Hello hello! Happy Monday!

How was everyone’s weekend?

So, it’s Spring, have your heard? Chicago got the memo a little late this year, but it seems to be catching up a little bit this week. I’m usually not the one to hate Winter, but this year I feel like I’ve had it hahaha. Third year living in this beautiful city, which means third Winter… Let’s just say that I’m already planning a very long vacation that will last the entire first trimester of 2018… I wish! hahahaha I can only wish!

Anyway, with Spring comes the florals.. What else is new? I love floral prints, so no complains here! That’s why this week I decided to style one of my favorite floral pieces, this skirt from LOFT. I got it two winters ago (I think), and I use all year round.. Yes, even during Winter with tights.

For today I decided to style in a super casual way with a striped top, espadrilles and a little scarf. Any thoughts?

The key for print mixing is to keep a certain coherence with the colors, that’s what I did here. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you so much for stopping by and see you again on Wednesday with another outfit I created with this same skirt!

Have a beautiful week ahead,

Hola hola! Feliz Lunes!

Hello my friend! First off aww, you look adorable. I love your skirt and how you styled this. I get being over the winter too. I’m lucky we have spring here but it still cold and raining just more colorful, lol. The scarf just makes this outfit all the more cuter. And your beautiful smile is an added bonus.
    Hope you stay warm girl!

I CANNOT IMAGINE winters in Chicago! i’m from Fl and we recently moved to South Carolina and I can barely stand the winters here! I bet you are SO happy for the warmer temps! I love the way you style this and also I LOVE the fact that you are styling something you’ve have for a little bit. I’m all about wearing the clothes you have and buying pieces that last years! You mixed prints SOOO perfectly! I just shot a similar print mixing look today and you are so spot on in making sure that the colors coordinate in some way! You looks stunning!
