Hey guys! Happy Holidays!

Just wanted to write a quick note to thank you for all your support in 2016.

This year has been quite an adventure, with its ups and downs, just like everything, but what a ride! I’ve grown so much as a person and learned a lot about who I am and who I’m called to be.

I’ve discovered that I’m strong and that I can do things on my own. I learned how to win even when I lose and how to forgive without being asked for forgiveness. I know now that is ok to be sad and that sometimes being sad is the only way to move forward. I’ve learned how to live a less planned life and to understand that there are times where ‘the plan’ is not to have one, and that’s ok too. I learned how to smile for me again.

I guess I can’t help to feel a little nostalgic during the Holidays. I miss Venezuela so much these days. I miss the music, the smells, the weather, my city, my family and so many people that were my entire life a few years back that are not around anymore. I have to admit that I’ve had a hard time accepting that some people come and go, and that’s just part of this little journey we call life.

At the same time, I’m so grateful for new friendships and new beginnings. I’ve met incredible human beings this year and strengthen friendships and relationships that I hope will stay around for good. I’ve opened my heart to new things and people, even if that increases the possibility of getting hurt. I’m excited to see what roll they’ll play and what lessons they’re here to teach me. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Someone sent me an email a few weeks back asking about quotes that represent who I am. Alyssa, I’m so grateful you contacted me and shared your story and I love how you relate and understand all the things I write about. So after doing a lot of research, and to answer all of your questions, here are the phrases that represent what I believe in:

Words I live by:

“If it’s not yours, don’t take it. If it’s not true, don’t say it. If it’s not right, don’t do it”

“Speak your truths and let your heart be heard, for even disaster is beautiful when it is pure”

My definition of success:

“Success is liking who you are, liking what you do and liking how you do it”

Favorite quote EVER:

“And those who were seen dancing, were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music” F. Nietzsche

What I believe love should be:

“Unless it’s mad, passionate, extraordinary love, it’s a waste of your time. There are too many mediocre things in life, love should not be one of them”

“The reason why I like you? There is no reason. There should be no reason. If you love someone because of a reason, when that reason is gone, your heart will change too.

I like you without a reason. I love you because you are you”

About Faith and my favorite Bible verse:

“Always pray to have eyes that see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that forgets the bad and a soul that never loses faith in God”

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it”

Proverbs 4:23

Shit, that was not a quick note hahahaha… Anyway… Last but not least, I’m so so thankful for you and your support. It really means the world to me and keeps me going every time I want to give up. I feel blessed and my heart is full, and it’s all thanks to you!

Happy Holidays and thank you so much for reading!!

Hola! Felices fiestas!

Este ano he conocido seres humanos increíbles.
